On what planet is 6' & 205 "undersized"? What?
And saying Dunn lacks compete is just an admission that you don;t watch him play. Seriously.</div></div>
Ive watched nearly every blues game for 20+ years.... Im a bit of nut. lmao but its ok to disagree my friend. I do love the metrics that seem to pump up Dunn, hopeful they will help bring us a greater return than what i think we can get for him. I'm doubtful, however.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>Its funny because its true.
Butcher has put up more points overall than Dunn, and in fewer games.
Butcher's pts/60 are higher than Dunn both on power play and at even strength.
And Dunn gets a higher % of his starts in offensive zone.
They have had similar possession statistics, Dunn a little better since he has been on better team. Butcher better relative stats.
And Dunn turns the puck over more than Butcher.
And Butcher's career hits-per-60 are similar to Pietrangelo's over same period.
Butcher also blocks shots at higher rates than Dunn.
So, no, we are not deluding ourselves. We are just pointing out what is actually true.
Dunn and Butcher are very similar players in value and production.</div></div>
I dont understand blues fan's perspective of Dunn. He's sloppy with the puck, undersized, lacks compete, needs to be much better at puck battles and in front of his own net. But he shows flashes of skill, both skating and with the puck, and punched a guy in the tunnel in the AHL once.

Yea i should change that hamilton deal.... I do wonder if the market will suck again. And im not sure Hamilton has a case to get more than a stanley cup winning captain in Petro.... but he certainly should demand something close.

How is that fun or a dream in any way
Especially for a team with an aging core
They can just leave Faulk unprotected
Dunn a much much better situation overall</div></div>
Dunn looks good on paper - but if you've watched enough Blues hockey the last few years you would understand he is pretty overhyped. I would be ecstatic if we traded him for anything above a late 3rd rd pick.

I would swap Blais and Steen since Steen-Bozak-Thomas has worked pretty well.... and I would love to see Blais-Barby-Sunny forechecking like madmen.

Woah - my perception of Blais must be much different, because there's a 0% chance I would include him in this trade. Replace him for Sanford and I could be on board.

Would they have interest in any of the Blues goalies not named Binnington? I think the Blues would be willing to throw in Husso or Fitz to make this work.

No doubt they will give Thomas/Fabbri/Sanford/Blais/MacMac a chance to take bigger roles and roll with it. I would love to see Kostin called up and given the opportunity as well. Kyrou, i imagine will be in SA until he gets quite a few games under his belt, but wont be too far behind, if all goes well. And when i look for outside W help, i can only come up with about a few players from a few teams (FL, LA, NJ, NYR, DET) that would even work.

I want to agree with you since i know the guy and want him to succeed..... However, hes slow, hes constantly getting caught offsides, and hes providing little offensively. Hes 100% expendable if you need the cap space to add a rental like MoJo.
Also, once Perron returns, I would rather sit Maroon than MackMac....

That is an incredible overpay for Bob, IMO but I think you're on the right track. I don't think Columbus can get anywhere near that return since they will not be signing him, hes struggled this year, and hes not in good graces with the organization. IF there is an extension agreed upon as a condition of the trade then yes. If not, than that's a bad deal for the Blues. John Davidson has familiarity with Jake so I really think this has more of a chance than people think.

Hes a wildly underrated player. (Especially with us Blues fans) Can skate well and throw his body around. Plays responsible defensively . If he can find a way to finally develop some scoring touch he will be a really nice player for you all. As a Blues fan I'm kinda disappointed he was just let go without a return. But there were years of rumors that he was not particularly well liked and not really involved with the group. So maybe a fresh start helps there.
