Middleton’s cap hit won’t start with a 2. Evolving hockey has him at 1.13M on a 3 year deal. And 1.5M on a 4/5 year deal.

If Reinhart would have put up the numbers he did this year, last year with Buffalo, he would’ve gotten much more then he got dealt for, exactly what minny is going to get.

I mean obviously the guy likes the place considering he lives there during the less desirable time of year to be there, and Dumba is historically a frequenter of College/mid twenties bars in the MSP area, im sure he’d love playing at ASU.

Fiala is going to get dealt for a premium package, billy G can still sign him longer term than anybody else and be under the cap you’d have to move Dumba and one of Jost Kulikov Hartman or Freddy to get it done but it can still be done.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>I can't think of a single reason he ever would want to sign an extension there. Again, Dumba lives in Arizona during the summer, I would assume he probably likes the area and would sign an extension there. Dumba is 3.5 years older, but still only going to be 28. Their counting stats through their first 340 GP are incredibly similar. If you wanna exclude their worst year for Average GSVA, Dumba is at 1.1 Chycrun is at 1.3. Go look at any advanced metrics over a large sample size and you will see they are similar players. Plus the clock is ticking on Az trading Chycrun as his M-NTC kicks in after next year.

Not the single defining stat of a player by any means, but definitely a good indicator. Their Stats are incredibly similar, and if dumba wanted to sign for 6 years in AZ that would be better for their franchise.

Chychrun last 4 years: 1.1,1.2,1.8,-.3(pace) 4 year average .95
Dumba last 4 years: 1,.5,1.1,1.2(pace) 4 year average .95
If dumba were to sign an extension of at least 4 years its worth it for AZ.
Addison is an NHLer right now as well

Their GSVA over the last 4 years is extremely similar, add in another Defensemen thats got upside and would play in the NHL next year its a pretty fair deal

Whats the move now Billy
0% Chance Middelton's extension starts with a 3, or even a 2. Guy has a 787,500 QO, and has played 62 NHL games as of now. BG will gladly take him to arb and win. His extension max will be 1.5M

Goligoski extension why
Im guessing Kulikov is gone. I doubt Middleton will be signed with a number that starts with a 2, especially if he is an RFA. Guerin would definitely qualify him at 787,500. My guess is Middleton will sign an extension similar to JM. D-Pairs next year being Middelton-Spurgeon, Brodin-Dumba, Merril- Goose with Addison as 7th D or we trade addison. also could see a dumba trade now, gives BG certainty that he has 4 D-men locked in after next year, and I would guess a 5th with Middelton re-signing.

Wild need to beat the AVS, for it to become a 1st. If we do beat the AVS totally fine giving up pick #28-32 for Fleury, we would still have 3 2nd round picks, and our prospect pipeline is one of the best right now.

My thing is, Billy G can offer him that 6th year nobody else can do via offer sheet. If somebody gives him 7X6m offer sheet, i doubt billy G matches that. I see billy G going for 6.5 X 6 or 7 with fiala.

Yeah I mean it could be any team with the cap space, but I think this number is basically what Min can’t match. Unless a team offers a 6 year deal at 6.9 or above Min probably would match it (6x6.9 would bring the comp to 2 firsts a 2nd and 3rd)

I would say Sturm is probably gone after his year and Mcbain is brought in for him, that would save you 600-700k, which would definitely go to Boldy I’d say a Boldy bridge will be 2m a year minimum.

Okay so Lambos and 1st for Stephenson, then id say for Smith and his 5M cap hit, Vegas would be giving up a 3/4th and we would send back a 7th maybe? The key is that they HAVE to trade smith (or somebody similar) and there arent going to be teams that are willing to pay for him knowing this.

I dont think it makes sense for us to give Vegas this years 1st AND one of our top prospects so they can add Eichel to the lineup... that wouldnt be smart on our part. Id say vegas is going to have to pay to move smith.
