The Wild are not taking Hoffman. The only way they trade Flower is to get rid of his cap hit.

Free some cap for Wild and bring some change in centers
Would think about a 1 for 1 but definitely not adding. Hartman has a much better track record. Novak does not but is younger. But 25 aint a spring chicken.

Wild get a Centre
I sure as hell hope Billy doesn't do this trade. This is the equivalent of three firsts plus a bottom six center who skates like the wind and has upside for one year of a 2(A)C who does not drive his line and wants Bo Horvat---+ money. Wonderful player but not at that cost for the cash strapped Wild IMO.

The only way I see a Gus trade happen is if the Wild are scared of the arb award. They would do this deal if so. I think the Devils say no though.

Lindholm to Minnesota
Billy G would not even offer this deal because he wants to be able to do deals in the future with Conroy. Wild would need to start with a first round pick and one of our top prospects.

Over Billy G's dead body. He is the last guy in the league to trade away grit players. He hoards these type guys.

Way too much for a rental. Lambos is MN's best defense prospect. A first. A second. A 3rd C.

Cheapest 20 goal winger 3rd team can reduce cap hit to 125M for the 5th pick
Maybe he has some value but the Wild don't have the abiility to take on guys who can't play a regular shift. Especially if they bring back reaves.

Jarmo gets the other Foligno
Thanks for the feedback. I think it would be Foligno's contract that would lead to a trade. He makes $3.1 and has no protection. Doesn't sound like much but the Wild are in Cap Hell.

Addison Gone
I would think the Wild would want a second. Maybe two thirds gets it done but these are not even this year. Who the hell knows what Addison's value is. He was great on the PP. Bad on 5v5 like a lot of young Dmen. Right shot Dmen are always worth a little more.

I am Luc warm on Dubois but this is somewhat interesting. So basically a first (rossi), a second, a goalie who was great for a half a season, plus a rental of Foligno for a good 2C. This would give the Wild two good 2Cs. So basically the definition of the Wild. Mid. Not jumping up for joy but this team would probably think about it for a bit less. But only if we can lock him down to a 13 year contract so we can keep the streak of first round exits alive.

One first round pick to eat that much cap? Canucks got to throw in their first next year for sure to make that happen. Probably more.

I like that Brock is a right shot but not sure the Wild do this one. I personally would consider it but I don't think it gets done. Brock is not as creative as the Lizard and there is the bff factor.

Interesting proposal. Problem is the Wild already have too many third line centers. Dvorak doesn't really move the needle. The price is right though imo.

I don't think this trade does much for either team. Van may move down but they need to dump some cap. MN needs to get a top center and those are all probably gone by then.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mjoyce001</b></div><div>Minnesota so declines! He's not a & cap exists for a reason</div></div>
Are you kidding? The Wild would definitely do this. A top 6 center for a journeyman fourth liner and a low first round pick? They do the deal and find ways to trade guys like Foligno at the draft. AZ might deal Schmalt but they are going to want more than this.
