Name the three primary objectives for your team's off-season... go!
Toronto's off season will be entirely dependent on how the playoffs go.
If they go well (win a round!!!):
1) Acquire a top 2/4 RHD, through either free agency or trade.
2) Acquire a middle six centre, preferably through free agency.
3) Deal with the Marner extension early. Waiting until mid-season to sign Nylander likely cost the Leafs an extra 1-1.5 million in cap space. If he doesn't want to sign in the offseason, offer him out.
If they don't go well:
1) New coach. Ideally no one on the bench right now should be back.
2) Acquire a top 2/4 RHD, through either free agency or trade.
3) Make a major move regarding the top players, which would probably be dealing Marner.

He probably chose San Jose because he'll slot into the top six immediately, whereas anywhere else he'd be either on the fourth line or working up from the AHL.

Only four players who played for the Growlers have (or do) play in the NHL: McMann, Liljegren, Brazeau (Boston) and Johnstone (Pittsburgh). ECHL to NHL is very difficult but it's a worthwhile organization investment.
Also this had nothing do with the revenue or travel for the team, the owner was terrible. There's still hope that under a new owner they could be reinstated.

Newfoundland Growlers folded.
The guy who owned them also owned the Trois-Rivieres Lions and both were about to go bankrupt. AFIAK the owner bailed out Trois-Rivieres but let the Growlers cease operations. Sucks for Newfoundland that they got shafted.

Canada OG roster
Marchand will be dust in 2026. Nugent-Hopkins and Hyman only make it if they keep doing well.
Right now the locks for Team Canada are: McDavid, Crosby, MacKinnon, Makar, Pietrangelo, Crosby, Point, Stone, Toews, Marner, Morrissey. Everyone else will be determined based on performance closer to the Olympics.

Wilson got 6 games for the high stick.
Think if it were anyone else it'd be 2 or 3 at most, but it looks like the DOPS might actually be putting more weight on "repeat offender".

one game sample but matthews and domi have been looking really good tonight - both have 4 point games
hopefully they keep them together and run marner on a separate line.

He's good at producing on the third line, and is going to be less than 2 million AAV. 6th highest on the team for PTS/60.
I don't think Cowan/Minten are fully ready and shouldn't be relied upon to be ready.

Sorry you can't whine about other bad ACGMs while also sending away Nick Robertson for nothing.

Early Look with blanks
I think everyone but Liljegren is in the ballpark of what they'd earn. For Lily, I think the years are going to be the major factor instead of the cap hit. He's shown at times he's capable of being a top 4 guy but he's also had massive gaffs. Either 2 years at or under 3 million, or 4-5 years around 3.5-4 would be a reasonable contract. 3 years will walk him to UFA.
<a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/4993719">I made an ACGM yesterday</a> which outlined what I believe the priorities are for the Leafs this offseason and some players I think they could get. I had to move Kampf in order to round out the depth which shows you how bad that contract is.

2425 Leafers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Happy to point out what you are missing. Look at Robertson's point production on the top two lines and you will see that 80% of his point production this season is on the top two lines. He also doesn't have the defensive game Kurashev brings which is what Kurashev is known for. Furthermore, Robertson when he produces is not next to one star on the ice like Kurashev (who outproduces him), but two starts be it Nylander and JT or Matthews and Marner. Kurashev and Bedard play with guys like Joey Anderson who couldn't even make the Leafs squad comparably.
I'm willing to bet hands down 31 GMs in the league would rather have Kurashev with his two way game and rarely injured versus the small fragile Robertson who can't produce without two stars on his line.</div></div>
I'd absolutely love to know where you're getting "80% of his point production this season is on the top two lines", because it doesn't sound true unless you think Jarnkrok and Domi are stars or something. The guys who play on the top two lines are Matthews, Tavares, Nylander and Marner who I've already shown don't play with Robertson.
Rest of your post is just absolute nonsense. Kurashev is so good at being a two-way winger, it's why he has the worst +/- on his team despite mostly starting in the offensive zone.
