This is as pathetically off as the Washington juvenile who said we'd have to add in a Zegras for Ryan Leonard swap. Lane Hutson hasn't even signed a contract yet.
There are homers, and then there are hopeless homers.

Nonsense. We've consistently said Reinbacher plus the Montreal 2025 second, or Slafkovsky even up, or a Beck/Mesar prospect plus the Montreal 2024 first.

You Habs guys shouldn't be trading for Zegras because you simply don't understand him, as evidenced by the fact that you've never been able to accept that he's comparable to Cole Caufield. That's why you're constantly undervaluing him.

Don’t listen to this guy. He’s a Kakko fan boy and still thinks Kakko is anything more than a middle six forward.

Ducks Realistic Offseason
I can't see us trading John Gibson without getting a 2023 first, unless the package has a much more useful A prospect than a LhD who is behind Jackson LaCombe, Pavel Mintyukov and CFL Defenseman of the Year Olen Zellweger. And Pittsburgh doesn't have any A prospects in their system other than Owen Pickering.

I don’t want Chychrun based on his asking price. Rather prefer drafting a guy like Jiricek and build him up properly.

Ducks Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mytduxfan</b></div><div>If that is the case then why would they be interested in Lindholm anyway? They're not a playoff team so the deal is basically for Larson + 1st + 2nd. In that case, I agree the deal is a little light (for what I think is a top 4 D-man). Having said that, we could move Lindholm to a team that will actually benefit from him and who may even sign him and get more value in return.
As far as Chychrun being the better player, have you got any evidence to support that? I'm asking this in the most unconfrontational way possible. I am totally open-minded to him being the better player. I just haven't seen it in what I've seen of him this season (a handful of games). My assessment would be that he's a high IQ player with a more well-rounded game than Lindholm and can play big minutes, but isn't elite in any one area and isn't particularly physical either. Hence, I question his top pairing potential. He also plays quite stiff and low energy, perhaps because of the big minutes he's doing/being forced to play. Anyway, that is just my opinion. Would love to add him to the team, but wouldn't want to sacrifice the elite shutdown skills that Lindholm brings in the process. Personally, I think losing Lindholm would be devastating for the team. He and Drysdale seem to have a working partnership and compliment each other in terms of their skillsets. However, happy to hear your opinion.</div></div>
The only reason they'd be interested is if they knew they could flip Lindholm for a decent return afterwards.
Depends what evidence you want. Eye-test? Chychrun is absolutely more well-rounded and he's actually good offensively. Hampus has never been great offensively, but he's been worse this season. His defensive game has also been rather poor this season. Not horrible but considerably worse than before. Hampus is still a Top 4 D-man but not an elite shutdown player. The following isn't his fault, but the fact that he's on the PP as much, while being bad at it, doesn't help his case. Chychrun doesn't have to be elite in one area (Hampus isn't either at the moment) because he's good at almost everything and if he's on a good team, those areas will be really good again, I'm confident of it.

PHI says no.
Koneckny even in a bad year is on pace for 60+ pts.
Mahura has 15 pts in 60+ games over a few seasons and at 23 yrs old doesn;t do much and the 1st is a chance that the drafted player that MIGHT turn into a Koneckny.
And PHI adds a 3rd and a 5th?

Normally, I try to greet newcomers to CapFriendly. But this is an inauspicious debut.
There's no rhyme or reason here -- no strategic plan, just trading one player for something you think he's worth. There's a phrase written by a somewhat better writer than me, involving sound and fury and what it signifies . . . that's what this post immediately calls to mind.
Everybody has to start somewhere.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mytduxfan</b></div><div>He's a better performer based on your numbers as well... Lol. Also, you're dumping on DeBrusk, but then saying Rakell is no better. Rakell best seasons may have been 4-5 years ago now, but he still had them and DeBrusk hasn't. It still proves his capacity to have those high scoring seasons. Anyway, not going to waste anymore time trying to persuade you that Rakell is an upgrade on DeBrusk. He is and I'm confident most neutrals would agree. The question should really be what would the cost of that upgrade be, considering contracts, retention, etc. IMO, I think the deal above is fair, but you are of course welcome to disagree.</div></div>
Did the math as I said before, the p/gp gap over the last 3yrs is 10 points over 82 games. That's with Rakell getting prime toi and 1PP time, which DeBrusk hasn't. I'd think the gap would be much larger, but its not.
Bruins don't need retention to fit Rakell in so it can be taken out. Don't need to move Moore and can just bury him. No use for Steel either. I'm not going to debate if it's fair, but i will say it wouldn't be of interest to Boston as constructed by OP

Detroit 100% passes, Jones+Steel+2nd is nowhere even close to the Mantha deal and Yzerman wants more for Bertuzzi then Mantha. Jones and Steel combined don't put out 1/2 the offence Bertuzzi does. Noway Detroit accepts this offer try again.

I don't think Anaheim would be willing to give up the assets Detroit would be asking for, for Bertuzzi. With his play, term remaining and cap hit and where Detroit is at in their own rebuild.
The price is a 1st and a top prospect.

You are very far off for Bertuzzi. Neither of those players are all that interesting anymore.
