Devils shouldn't go anywhere near JT, and especially so if that's the ask from Vancouver.
Can't see the Avs dealing Newhook for a rental either.

Detroit will take Martinez. Not really interested in Brossoit. The value is fine, I would just rather go the FA route for a backup.

Not nearly as much? JT's value still starts at 1st Rd pick + A-level prospect + .... Especially if salary is retained.

It’s more that this package is close to what they’d offer for Chychrun which would help the Kings longer term at a reasonable price.
Not sure center is a huge area of concern for us.

He absolutely is not untouchable beyond ignorant statement. I mean come on its just a thought his name wouldn't be out In the market or even discussed once for no reason. His situation is unfortunate but he is not untouchable no player is. Have fun losing in the second round again

3 year timeline part 1
Per Thomas Drance:
"In surfacing Byram’s name, we were hoping to illustrate the extent to which the Canucks were big-game hunting for young defenders on the trade market. We weren’t suggesting that a deal is imminent or that the Avalanche would even consider parting ways with the 20-year-old Cranbrook, B.C. native, who is on a very short list of the best blue line prospects to come out of Western Canada over the past decade."
Vancouver can ask. Colorado would almost certainly decline.

tanking as hard as possible
Kempe, Iafallo, Moore, Kaliyev -- all forwards who would play ahead of Pearson both this season and next. (And we have Grundstrom and Lemieux, who are certainly no worse, plus we might need to try Turcotte out at LW.) No need for him, or to spend assets on him, whatsoever.
We might invest a fourth in Schenn at the deadline if injuries suggest it.

I just don't see Boston willing to create one "semi" hole (#2C, which Haula has done well between Hall & Pastrnak) to create a bigger hole (and hard to fill) Top 4 RHD. I also don't think Foligno would waive his NMC to go to Vancouver

Miller will get more than that in a trade. Won't be able to afford him next year anyways, as much as I want him on the Wild

No way that Bruins deal happens and you're selling low on Miller. Everything else is at least close although I don't think they should trade Garland.

Chytil has always been a guy with a ceiling of a good 3C imo
NyR fans wanting to pretend he’s something more though
Now everyone is starting to see he just doesn’t have much upside, especially offensively

Its 2022 and youre judging a player on points🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
However even if you did want to use points were you aware that garland has been scoring points at a great rate at 5v5.
5v5 points per 60
Garland: 2.32
Panarin: 2.28
Mcdavid: 2.24
Kuznetsov: 1.99
Crosby: 1.86
Kane: 1.50
So yeah id say thats pretty stellar

Canucks decline, only things in this package are the two 1sts and 2nd, and you won’t be getting two great top 6 forwards for that

I think these are all fairly realistic trades value wise.
Boeser has averaged 28 goals and 68 points per 82 games, Holtz may not be a piece NJ is willing to part with but I think the value there is fair.
I don't think Vancouver does the Schenn trade, but again the value is pretty fair.

We expect Brandt Clarke and Brock Faber eventually to be our top 2 RDs, and we don't know what we have in Sammy Helenius yet, so we won't be trading either of them right now.

Very torn on the Zucker trade. I don't like Dickinson's contract at all, but it frees up space and give the Pens a 3rd. Tough one.

Not a knock on Garland, but the Kings moved up in the draft for both Faber and Helenius, and both have improved their draft stock. That's not enough for two player the Kings are very high on.
