is it reducing or just using all available information to make a balanced assessment rather than using exclusively points and bias?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>Cool. I think you’re missing out on the definition of stellar first and foremost. So we’re going off 5 on 5 scoring per 60? I don’t really care about the analytics at all, so lets go with the 5 on 5 scoring.
Is Mason Marchment stellar? How about REM Pitlick, is Adam Ruzicka? How about Victor Rask? Andreas Johnson? Are there 87 stellar top six forwards in the NHL?
Are all the coaches of these guys idiots? Should Alex Kerfoot be given more 5 on 5 ice than Auston Matthews because he has a 5 v 5 points per 60 rate?
Or is it more likely that all the coaches in the NHL aren’t morons, and these guys have a higher 5 on 5 scoring rate because they get way softer matchups, because they aren’t stellar?</div></div>
if you ignore analytics entirely its just a show of ignorance.

ah yes, points. the best way to analyze how good a player is. mhm.

that's enough for miller alone maybe
studnicka, senyshyn are meh
lauko is ok but nothing special and doesnt fit a need
debrusk is a reclamation project and if he doesnt bounce back is borderline overpaid. probably worth a mid round pick at most rn
moore's contract sucks

I don’t think this package gets accepted either, because its too much fluff. That said, i think two firsts, a second, and a higher end prospect (plus a cap dump) would be a really good return for the two players. Two firsts, a second, Lohrei, and Moore is a good return i think.</div></div>
garland is absolutely a stellar top 6 forward lol. by every metric

that's not enough for boeser, nor is it a good fit i dont think
garland / miller make more sense for WSH bc they're cost controlled. boeser is due a 7.5m ish qualifying offer

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jackgrogan25</b></div><div>There is no way New Jersey does that deal in my opinion, Also that is a huge overpay for miller, I think its one or the other and than a first round pick honestly, Also I personally don't see the miller trade being done at all, Why would Miller want to go back to the rangers where the labeled him as immature and a cancer? The guys who called him that are still here basically (besides the coaches) I don't think miller would want to come back.</div></div>
fair enough on NJD. I think they would potentially consider it because boeser is a more well rounded player and more of a sure thing
the miller deal is the one that's been reported on by the athletic, and by both rangers and Canucks reporters. seems to be the price for him
Rangers reportedly offered it with retention on miller to vancouver and they rejected it

pagnotta has already said smith is likely going to get a good package, compared the potential deal to foligno
vegas is also not moving stephenson, they have 0 reason to. legitimately one of the best value contracts in the league based of how he's played the last 2.5 years
and why tf would they take a cap dump back
keep dreaming

blowing it up again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>capfriendlyaccount</b></div><div>Since you're getting roasted, I thought I'd pop in and say that I thought this was really well done. All of these seem relatively realistic, and this would leave you with pieces that could help the team start to turn around by next year. If everything went well Debrusk-Chytil-Hoglander doesn't look like a bad 2nd line. The defense still needs work, but that's nothing new, and Schneider helps a bit with that. In net you hope that Spencer Martin can continue to play like he did in his 2 game sample size this year. Also gives you some cap flexibility to make more additions in the offseason.</div></div>
thank you - I really didn't think it was that bad
punt on this year, rebuild over the next 2 offseasons, then contend as khusnutdinov + schneider come in + draft picks + other pieces develop
the franchise is in a bad spot rn
