What I would do
I do think this is probably pretty realistic in the fact that they wont be making a lot of moves.
Enough though Broberg has shown that he can play the right side, I don't like putting a rookie on his offside. Id like to see them add a bottom pair RD and rotate Broberg in and out as 7th, help him transition a little bit to start the year. I also feel like if they are going to re-sign JP it will be at the expense of foegele and they'll try to find a cheaper 3rd line option (if Holloway does get 2nd line minutes). Last thing, I think they could find more value in the 1st rd. pick depending where you trade Kassian, I don't think you need the 1st attached to him.

DeAngelo wouldn't sign his QO after the year he had tbh. I have him closer to 5.5-6.
As a Leafs and Coyotes fan, while Lyu is great at clearing the net, yeah hes awful for turnovers. Wouldn't really pay him much more than he currently makes

Calgary Flames 5 of 32 Realistic
Why would Calgary have to give up a first for a team to pay $1M of real dollars to get nearly $6 M in cap hit. Enough cap strapped teams looking to spend less but still get to salary floor (see Dallas moving Bishop contract for a 7th round pick).
If it would actually take a 1st round pick, might as well just keep Lucic.

Yeah I remember that one with proposing Bolduc for the package. I don’t think Blues do that as it would sell the farm. With Chychrun’s injury issues, I’d stay away from giving Perunovich/Bolduc AND a 1st

Doan won't sign this year. I've actually talked to him and he said it's very unlikely right now.

What do Oilers fans think of this trade
Personally I am not the biggest fan of Anderson or Allen. Anderson is too injury prone. If they were wanting him so bad, I would just sign Kane for a few more million and have a guy who is less injury prone and works well with McD. But for the purpose of the trade you suggested, I would say that's pretty accurate

Really nice job, especially for someone who isn't an Anaheim fan. I'd be happy to do as good a job on an Edmonton construction.
I'm not a fan of the van Riemsdyk acquisition because I don't think that we're really getting anything out of it, and I agree with <a href="/users/CHAR" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@CHAR</a> that I'd sooner target Hague than Roy, but this is very good analysis and vision. Congratulations!

With McTavish likely playing the full season in the NHL and a healthy Silfverberg, it is probably too many trades like you said.
I'd also like them to address RD this offseason. If Shattenkirk is playing top 4 minutes, Gibson is going to have another rough season.
All in all, very well thought out and nicely done. A lot of those teams would have a tough time saying no. Can't wait to see what you do for the rest of the 31 teams.

His birthday is Jan 30th and the cut off is 20 years old by Dec 31st. He misses it by a month.
EDIT - It's worth mentioning that the Memorial Cup championship game is on NHL network tomorrow at 3pm pacific. Might as well tune in to see our boy play in a big game.

Is this fair for Gibson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>I would at least try to get Gritsyuk or Mukhamadullin in the deal instead of Bahl</div></div>
Not saying it’s perfect. But I think the value is pretty fair. Also, Bahl’s size is attractive for the ducks who have a serious lack of size in their best d prospects. Muk would be preferred for sure, but an undersized LW in Grits wouldn’t be ideal for ANA right now. Granted I’ve seen none of these 3 play extensively, so going mostly off profile and high level stats

For goodness' sake, don't make it an Edmonton ACGM. Half of your fanbase think he's not worth Smith and a third, so posting anything about Gibson would be like whacking yourself in the gonads with a croquet mallet.

I think a Gibson trade would take a 22 or 23 1st, high end prospect and a 20-24 year old nhl player to get Verbeek on the phone
any less than that I can't see a reason to trade him

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Bahl play, but his age/size profile is great for ANA. That value overall feels solid for ANA, especially if it were Zacha. Ducks would probably even need to send a bit more back to NJ if it were Zacha, Bahl, and a 1st

That doesn’t get it done for Gibson. The reason they’re open to moving him is that they have Stolarz in the short term, and both Dostal and Clang in the long term to fill in. Blackwood is not of value. A second round pick is worth very little. And the Ducks issue on defense is being undersized (top 2 prospects Drysdale and Zellweger will need to play on different lines). Adding another undersized Dman is the last thing they need. I’d keep Gibby hands down

Allen is cheap and has experience as a starter, a tandem starter, and a backup. Very valuable experience too, having been to two cup finals.</div></div>
Jake Allen is a cap dump. Expect to lose an asset to move his contract.

I think Barrie for Hakanpaa makes sense, from each team's needs (Oil could use a more physical/PK option on the right side, Dallas would need Barrie if Klingberg walks), and the Oilers' cap interests.

Not sure why this is funny. Why is he any different than Brendan Smith or Ian Cole. Would a Staal/DeAngelo 3rd pairing be the worst thing in the world?
Something to reminder - Slavin/Bear was a better pairing on the top pairing vs Slavin/DeAngep at the beginning of the season.

Monahan is a pure cap dump, and a very expensive one at that. Valimaki has potential but isn't enough to pay for an almost $6.5mil cap dump. Plus we already have too many LHD.
Edit: At least, to CHI, Monahan is not a player of value.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Islesforthecup</b></div><div>I might be mistaken but aremt you the guy that keeps saying it will take 8 figures for a team to sign gaudreau? Now i understand that usually players re-signing will get a little less but you say he wont get 10 as if its completely out of the question.</div></div>
The Flames have no leverage with Gaudreau. They used their leverage when he was an RFA, that resulted in him signing for 6 years instead of 8. It was rumoured that 8x8 was the mask on a max term deal. Gaudreau would be the best forward to hit free agency since Panarin, he signed for 81.5 million on a 7yr deal. Gaudreau can make a case for that kind of money.
The Flames don't really have any leverage with Tkachuk either. Everyone knows he's only a year away from UFA if he signs the qualifying offer. It's never easy negotiating with that family, so a massive deal like 10x8 may be the only way to keep him in Calgary.
