This would be amazing
Could happen, but complete the lineup to see if it's cap possible. Signing OEL and Hjalmarsson for big money might have been a mistake if the intent was to sign Matthews.

Playoff surprise
Stone might be the most overrated player on this CF.. He's good and last year very good but he's 25/40/65 player at most. That's an big overpayment for a rental especially when it appears Perlini and Fischer have established themselves as NHLers. Seriously doubt if the high intensity Stone will be able to keep up physically in future years after some teams overpays him on a 7 year deal.

Canucks aren't trading their # 1 centre who signed for five years for just two years of Barrie. Canucks are doomed to finish out of the playoffs this year anyway and Barrie isn't going to change that.

Don't know if you're deliberately trolling but your trades over the past few months having been so far unrealistic, it's embarrassing to see as Sens fan. No thought what the definition of UFA or other teams cap. Just meaningless but I enjoy the desperate humour if it wasn't so sad.

Look at Vegas cap for next year, they can't afford to take the useless Ryan. They may not have enough cap even to sign to Karlsson.

Done right means Calgary keeps Tzachuk. Why should Stone limit himself signing a contract now and not being a UFA.

I saw enough of Subban in Montreal. Maybe he was mellowed in Nashville. He's not a winner to me. 9m could be spent a lot better.

I question if the Leafs could afford Subban next year with their other signings. Subban has done well in Nashville the Preds are loaded on defence. I wouldn't count on him to be a # 1 with the Leafs

I can't think about because it makes me too excited
Since the revenue is split 31 way, the cap doesn't go up that much even if the do better. That last sentence, " I can't think about it because it makes me too excited". Thought the minimum age to be on this site was 18 not 13^^ .</div></div>

PK would destroy the city of Toronto. He would have club nights at Drakes Club in the ACC after the game. Isn't that reason the Leafs DON'T want Subban.

Sens Plan With Dallas - 2019-20
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>burla13</b></div><div>You are right and because I cant talk to those GMs I cant know what they want. But I do know that Dertoit, much like the Leafs are over and when Zadina hits 3.7m of bonuses. Their cap goes down by that much. You cant keep doing that , check the story of Boston and Rielly Smith.
I dont actually need the picks because fielding this team is only about getting to the cap floor, check coyotes of the last 5 years.
Franzen is simply so Eugene has almost 4 against the cap and pays nothing. I dont want picks, honestly, it would be nice. I want free cap, free as in it costs the owner no money.
Take a sec to look at Detroit's real team. Zets might actually be the better contract. Point being you do want want cap overages every year. The sens dont need it but free money for the owner to reach the cap floor sounds like a good idea to me.
Not Horton, he isnt insured.
Hossa insured.
Savard insured.
Pronger insured.
Boland insured.
Franzen insured. With Detroit over the cap. I would be willing to take this for a PTBNL, just for the free cap bump.
Check I put them on Pro mode. It counts against the cap.</div></div>
Thanks for confirming. You don't know how LTIR works. Forget the pro mode. The realities of cap work differently. Detroit might be willingly to move Franzen for performance bonuses pay bonuses purposes, but they certainly wouldn't give up much.

Most of these trades are very slanted towards the Sens. Another person that doesn't understand LTIR and why teams don't give up substancial returns as in 99% of the time it does not affect a teams cap at all.

Terrible trades for the Oilers, giving up all that for short term help. Why do these players sign long term and Oilers can't afford them anyway. As someone suggested in early posts. "Can't think of good trade, make it a trade with a signed extension."

Turn This Mess into Success - Eugene, Let me help you FOR FREE
I'm a Sens fan, but these are terribly high returns for the Sens. Detroit isn't giving up anything for player on LTIR. Can't people ever learn the ramifications or lack of ramifications for a player of LTIR. Leafs don't need Ceci now or even long term. These trades for Karlsson are getting foolish. He isn't worth that much to team who might finish out the playoffs again anyway. God, Tampa has plenty of centres, certainly don't need the ordinary Pageau. Tampa doesn't the Sens to a middleman if they can trade Callaghan to the Rangers.
