I'd just rather not give up that for a year and a half of tatar

Galchenyuk for Granlund Thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgfresh78</b></div><div>Even though the retention makes it a cap wash for both sides doesn’t mean it should be one for one. The team who takes on the least amount of money usually ends up sending a pick to the other team. This happened when the penguins traded for Ian Cole back in 2015 where they sent an additional 7th round pick to STL for eating the extra cap money to make it a wash between Cole and Bortuzzo.</div></div>
i think NSH is going to sell someone either before or at the deadline that isn't grandlund, so i don't think that the 850k will matter

i dont think pit needs to add a pick for rention. both will have the same cap hit for the rest of the year and both are ufas at the end of the year. why need anything else??

Thoughts on Silfverberg
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>claysbar</b></div><div>Value wise, I'm on board. I just don't know to say that I see Schultz waiving for ANA or ANA taking on 2 UFA's (without a 1st coming along) for one of the few assets they would/should move considering that they are in at least a several year re-tool if not a full blown re-build.</div></div>
yeah schultz most likely wouldn't waive but if he did ANA could flip him at the deadline to a team that needs another rd puck moving dman for the playoffs. as for gally they could definitely resign him or like schultz, flip him

Thoughts on Silfverberg
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>claysbar</b></div><div>That ANA 2nd, hopefully, will be pretty close to the PIT 1st. Kahun sorta has to part of it just because of next years cap hit for him. They need RD depth (like PIT doesn't...) so maybe pull the 3rd?</div></div>
I would switch kahun and addison with gally and schultz and take out the 1st. Pit wants to get rid of gally and wont be able to resign schultz. the ducks get a rd who honestly can probably go on top pair and top pp when he is healthy. the ducks will probably be able to resign schultz and maybe even both if they can get gally around a similiar or smaller contract due to lack of production. Addison and marino are pits future on rd so i wouldnt get rid of either. Personally i wouldn't go after silfverberg based on how big his cap is for his little production, but maybe hed produce more in pit. if pit was going to pay that much go for a big name. thats my personal opinion.

I put him in the range of 2.5-3M

Kahun is not worth 3.5M though. Not now at least, maybe in the future. Plus sheary signed his current deal (3M) right after we won back to back cups so that had some part in him getting 3M.
