<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>phil250684</b></div><div>That is an overpayment from MTL end, Giroux and Galchenyuk even each other out so there paying Hudson, plekanec and juulsen for ghost. You'd be better taking Hudson out of the trade retaining on Giroux and adding a 2nd or 3rd round pick from Philly.
And there's absolutely no reason to buyout MacDonald, yes he is bad a yes I don't want him on the team either but I also don't want to be handicapped paying him his 1.83mil for 6 years, we have room to carry his contract for 2 years at least and we can always send him to the minors saving 1mil in cap space</div></div>

Agreed on the AMAC analysis. As bad as they think he is, he really isn't <em>that </em>bad. He's just over paid. Posters do this all the time with players they don't actually know that well. There is a difference between being a bad player and being an over paid player.

AMAC has shown he's able to play tougher minutes and bigger roles with the team. Forget the 5M cap hit and just evaluate the player. He'd be in your top 6 at least. If you think you can have 3 rookies and 1 sophomore in your lineup and not get blown out from time to time you got something coming. Plus some contracts are just not worth buying out. Philly isn't winning a cup anytime soon. No point in jeopardizing future cap space when you might need it for the now when you don't really need it.</div></div>

Couldn't have said it better myself
