Philadelphia Flyers signed Ivan Fedotov (2 Years / $3,250,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_Habs_fan</b></div><div>He's played 3 NHL games and has a .811 in them, what???</div></div>
From Anthony DiMarco :
<em>I know the Fedotov AAV is higher than expected, but the contract was agreed upon prior to the player coming over from Russia.
I'm told that the contract had to be a certain number to get Fedotov to come to North America.
Not ideal, but understandable given the circumstances.</em>

kinda similar to Jack McBain, he was not a UFA per say tho, but he kinda chose his destination

Somebody tell me how Okposo's performance bonus for winning Stanley cup works, who pays that now? (in case FLA wins it)</div></div>
good question
this condition also feels like it always been an option for BUF and Okposo to be traded at TDL to a contender, even if he's their captain

Underwhelming for Leafs fans
Treliving chose bottom pairing Ds for their cup run. They do play a heavy-playoff-style game, but still

Maybe where he came from helps explain why this seems like he settled for less than most thought. Also, living in Florida helps lol

Could Vancouver go for Savard
I agree with your reasoning. Savard is valuable to the Habs, so he would come at a high price.
But you forgot the 50% retained salary. A lot of value comes from that

Any wildcard contender interested in trading a 2024 first
A playoff team would most likely target Savard, not Matheson.
Savard is textbook what a contending team is looking for at the TDL.
Remember that Tampa paid 1+3+4 for Savard 75% retained not long ago

lol you sound bitter. KK isnt an anchor
to add on CAR : Jarvis Pesce Necas Skjei will get a raise. They could really try something this year with their huge anticipated deadline cap space (an other fact why KK isnt an anchor at all capwise)

I also see the fit on longer term for WPG.
I think it's also valuable for WPG if a player wants to sign for longer term with them. Monahan always played in Canada. It's a real possibility
fair deal with the market IMO

Driedger would be our 3rd G and he will not be claimed. It's a good move for the habs IMO as it gives them a viable option for a call up and a veteran G in Laval
As for SEA, they might lose Daccord on waivers so it might put a hold on that kind of trade
