I think it’s an overpay for Lindell. I know he is young with some decent potential to improve offensively, but he’s in his 3rd full year and has fewer points than Laughton this year. I think he’s got more in him, but it would be backbreaking to give this much up for a guy who may never be more than a 40-50 point guy.

So given Chych has an injury history, played poorly defensively this year, and has only 1 year remaining under contract, how much do you think he is actually worth?

We got a BLOCKBUSTER
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sk540</b></div><div>Not particularly close?
Well I think we can all agree that a 1 for 1 Chych for TK would be fair value. SO what you're saying is that a potential franchise goaltender, who is a rookie no less, our best defensive prospect who blew away the O this year, a solid two way top 6 forward who is only 24 and will put up 50 points this year in a John Tortorella system, plus a 1st and a 2nd, is not particularly close for Brady Tkachuk? I think if we added another 2nd or another blue chip prospect the unfairness would tip in the Flyers direction.
Brady Tkachuk is an absolute stud, a do it all Captain type, who is close to a point per game player. You don't trade guys like that. But if he pulls a Matty and wants out, thats close to a fair value package. I would add in a 2nd if that would make you happy, but it wouldn't be ours, it would be the ones we acquired.
But again, I can understand why you said not particularly close, because you just dont trade Brady Tkachuks, although that's what I thought about Matt too. And Gretzky. And Hull. And i could continue.</div></div>
I think your proposal would be a decent starting point. I’d argue that TK is worth more than Chychrun. Chych has been bad defensively this year. You’d be trading with the expectation that Torts and Shaw could fix him.
FYI, given the center position is a bigger need for us, I would rather target Stutzle than Tkachuk.

Philly is not likely moving TK. If they were to even consider, it would be a package that includes either Savoie, Kulich, or Buffalo’s 2024 first.

I’m not necessarily on board with moving TK…I think we’ll just be looking to replace him for a similar player in a couple of years and it will end up costing more between contract and trade assets….but I would consider this deal. Philly needs to get a future top of the lineup C in the organization (and probably more of a priority than a LD) and I’d love to see Mitchkov and Savoie together in a couple of years.

I have yet to find a trade that Ottawa fans would accept. Given how much this team has underperformed and desperately needs a shakeup, it’s surprising how anything of trade value is labeled as untouchable or is significantly overvalued. Chych isn’t actually that good on the defensive side of the ice. You are nuts if you think he is a worth a 21 year old former 6th pick, a first, and a Laughton (whom teams offered a 1st for in the offseason). That’s like saying he’s worth 3 firsts….the fact that you still wouldn’t take that for a guy with only 1 year left on his contract (and 50/50 to resign at best) is ludicrous.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>They traded for Drysdale because they didn't have any good RD prospects and with this trade you are just bolstering our LD at the expense of our RD which makes no sense. Besides Drysdale, Bonk is the only other RD prospect who has higher than bottom pairing potential.</div></div>
I completely disagree with this take. Sanheim is much better on the right side and Bonk is by far the best D prospect in the organization. Keeping Drysdale likely means moving Sanheim to LD where he has been far less effective. And Andrae is a 5’’9” below average skating LD who despite having a high compete level, I think will struggle to play above the 3rd pairing level in the NHL. I also believe Attard can be a decent 3rd pairing guy and Zamula can play either side. Given all of that, I think the Flyers are in far better position for the future on the right side.
And they weren’t specically targeting RD when they traded for Drysdale….they tried to trade Cutter for Bo Byram prior to the Drysdale deal.

It's not like Flyers should be competitive next year but should be, when Michkov arrives and then try to take advantage of his ELC. And when that happens they struggle if they are using 15M+ on regressing Lindholm and Couturier.
But I could take Monahan cheaper with 2-3 year contract if they really want to add a center. Just play Frost as 1C then "Monahan"/Couturier/Cates as 2C and 3C or Cates at LW since we lack LW aswell. Poehling is good 4C. VGK and Bruins have shown that you can be a really good team without elite centers, if the rest of team is good enough and coaching is good aswell.</div></div>

They aren’t likely getting a center in free agency…at least not the long-term solution. They have acquired 4 firsts and 4 seconds in the next two drafts. Some of that is going to be used (maybe in conjunction with Laughton and/or Risto) as trade capital. Look for the Flyers to go after high-end prospect, a young center with good upside, or to trade up in this year’s draft to get a C or first pairing LD.

Wasn’t trying to offend anyone. There was some speculation that Buffalo might want to change up the veteran leadership. They also have an abundance of young talent and prospects. Given they likely can’t fit all of Savoie, Ostlund, and Kulich, they might be willing to trade one….and, you know, try to make the playoffs for a change….

TDA won’t be easy to trade because he’s kind of a D bag and not worth $5M/yr. But there is no way the Flyers pay to get rid of him. If they can’t move him in the off-season, then they’ll move him at the deadline….and they will not have to give up a first to do that.

Hayes trade may work, but I’d hope Philly could make the deal while only retaining 30% (about $2.2M). I would even take the Jackets’ 2nd if they don’t want to give up the first. It will likely be about 10 more picks down.

Because that 1st rounder is going to be so late in the draft, PHI would likely look for a top prospect in return instead of Engvall. And someone would have to convince the dinosaurs leading the PHI organization that a full rebuild is in order….not sure they will get there anytime soon.

He's just a pretty bad hockey player, and the Devils, with a smart analytics team who have a large say in decisions, will not be paying a price even remotely this large for a 4th liner.</div></div>
Okay, so virtually every response I see in this forum shows a bias for what their team’s players and prospects are worth…I am going to try and weigh in as non-Montreal/NJ fan. Anderson’s annual stats are largely affected by his injury history…only twice in his career has he exceeded 70 games. Over an 82 game season, he projects as a 20+ goal a year player. That is not 4th line. He would make a decent depth scoring piece for a team looking for a net front, power forward.
So looking for a comparable deadline deal….. PHI will be shopping JVR at the deadline and is speculated at something like a 2023 2nd and a 2024 3rd or 4th in return and lwould almost certainly not exceed two 2nd rounders. JVR plays a similar game, is a better playmaker/passer and has scored at a higher rate and produced more on the PP than Anderson for his career. I know Anderson is younger, but I would expect a deal for him to be similar, if not slightly less.

Interesting take considering multiple sources have indicated his preference was a one and done at BC. The most likely scenario is that he starts the season in Lehigh and gets a few games in as a call up with the Flyers after they dump players at TDL.
