Why havent they done this yet?

I mean, sell out to win the cup and hope to God the cap goes up 5 million. Then you can always trade your RFAs like Kadri if need be. But

Wow buddy...You're really not good with math, are you? The guy already makes 6 million. You have 9 million to give to two guys. You give him 3, and he's up to 9, with 6 left to give Schmaltz. Go to Kindergarten for me one time.

Hmmm
Arizona needs help to reach the cap floor, but Hossa's actual salary is only 1 million. Its actually a gift to a small market team like them, rather than a burden that most people assume cap hits are.
Wilson scored 15 points in the post season, is a mean muggin SOB, and plays to PK minutes. He is undoubtedly worth the money he will get here.

Jenner
I disagree with you both. Murphy and Rutta are 3rd pair guys at best. TVR was always a steady, reliable D man who made a good first pass and was good in hos own end. Murphy specifically is a distaster with the puck on his stick and doesnt have the speed to make him that valuable. I agree that they could move them, but with the Cap space they hvae, why bother? You just have depth at D, and thats never a bad thing.
The Jenner move is simple. Anisimov has no place besides Kane's center, and thats clearly Schmaltz's role now. Jenner has been having a decent year on Columbus, but at the same time has said that he needs a change of scenery for him to reach his potential. Meanwhile, Anisimov is one of Torts's favorite guys hes ever coached. Blue Jackets get a reliable steady center for Panarin if they choose, Hawks get a quicker, hard nosed guy to go to the net and make way for Sikura and Brinksy to do their thing.

2017-18
I see Myers as a perfect Segway from someone like Seabrook. He's a Big, strong, puck moving defenseman who went undrafted but played out of this world at the WJC until his concussion. I see him as a good fit for a overstaurated goalie market and a team unwilling to give up Provorov and Ghost being unaffordable. Maybe Philly adding a second rounder would help sweeten the deal.

Would the flyers be interested in Seabrook for Myers or Ghost-bear?

Teuvo is to clear cap room with Bickell. Why bother with Shaw if you get a Hometown discount with Ladd? Campbell, same deal. Why bother with Moose/Mash. And the third line is made up of three of the best prospects in hockey, all who can fly all over the ice (Schmaltz and Motte are two of the top college players in the country, Hinostroza was one of Team USAs world championship team members who produced).
