Agreed. Also why is every AGM trading Lilly and yet expecting a huge return? If you like him, why not keep him? He’s affordable and young

So PHI gives up the better picks and a D Man they’d get assets back for from any other team at the TDL in exchange for… a D man who may or may not be able to play in the NHL. No

Agreed on the Philly part. Need a first + all the rest of that junk and the rest is fine

I agree. This is a huge package for TK with retention. Sure, that’s a deal. You could even ask for a Seeler or Attard or some other depth piece and it’s close imo. But Hart in that deal, no way, it’s just not enough replacement value imo. It starts to look like a lot of scraps when PHI is giving up the two best pieces.

If you truly think KK is a bust, you obviously don’t do this deal. I think that if you give him more ice time on a team that needs the production, he will thrive. He’s a 2oa that is never going to get the time he needs on NYR. This is Owen Tippett all over again.
After that, you can trade TK because you have depth at RW, recoup the 1st, pick a Center or D and actually have depth in other places. It’s a no brainer imo but I doubt NYR would actually trade a KK, let alone to a division rival.

Also you're not moving ADA for free, let alone getting assets back. You gave the moron a 4 year deal, buy him out, or pay a first to get rid of him.</div></div>
If you are referring to Deangelo. Philly gave him a 2 year deal that expires at the end of this coming season. And no, we won’t be buying him out or paying to shed the last year. If nothing else, he’ll be moved for a zero value trade

I’m curious to see if Walker is treated as a flip or if they use him and try to move TonyD

This is wild and I love it. I’d still think the Flyers could get more for those players individually. But the creativity is really impressive. I like that all the picks for PHI are in 2023 which hold a lot of value right now.
Does PLD and Helly actually have that type of value considering the whole league knows they’re not resigning? Wouldn’t teams just lowball them until they give in? Also, why would anyone even want PLD at this point. He complains like he’s McJesus when he’s actually just a 2nd line Center

DET trade is not enough for Philly. If you consult the pick-value chart Dom from the athletic put out a while ago, you’d need the first pick in the third round or a late 2nd to get that value back

I actually don’t disagree. I agree it’s barely enough, but as it currently stands, we could use all those prospects. If we start selling off and getting decent prospects, the ones you think are valuable, are going to be about the same value as the ones we could get from other teams. Keep your Mintens, Voits, and robertsons if they have value to you. As soon as you trade them to an organization with better depth, they aren’t as valuable

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AyyPavy</b></div><div>Interesting… another flyers fan in here declines.</div></div>
He/she declines when you threw in Frost. The thing I see is that the flyers are going to run into a problem with too many B+ prospects eventually. Trading with them sooner is better because the value of your B prospects are higher, until we can’t use them anymore. If you’re asking for Frost back, that’s fine. But this trade doesn’t have any blue chips. The 3 best assets in the trade would be what the flyers are giving up (unless you think Voit is the real deal). The prospects and picks you have don’t grade out much better than what every other organization has. You’re just adding quantity to try to prove a point.
