<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>Not at all. Look at the cap hit with a 20 man roster for starters. Factor in it alters every draft and free agency after that. Maybe they don’t end up with Mac.

Then the individuals.

Connor surely would have been better choice than Debrusk but we lose Hall who wants to be here, fits in well, has good chemistry with line. We have no idea how Conner would have fit in or developed with a different t team. Rather just keep Hall.

Chabot. Would not have had the path to PT in the NHL in Boston he did in OTT. He would have been buried or used as trade chip. He was all offense no defense coming out of JRs. Boston had 2 of them already in the lineup and and aging Chara they needed a replacement for. Another no defense guy made no sense.

Had Chabot stuck around and was still on the team they don’t trade for Hampus. I’d much rather Hampus. Chabot will score more and is flashier. Hampus however is just better all around.

The one pick that should not have been made was Senyshyn. They tried to trade down with that pick. Would have been nice. But they were never taking a center there so Barazal, who was never much of a scorer in jrs and coming off an injury, was never an option. Boesser or Koneckny should have been though.

And if I was switching out picks I’d rather Aho then Barzal anyway.

In the end we have no idea what the team would look like or where they would be had they made those picks instead.

I know where the team is now and outside of long term center issues, I like it.

Unlike others I don’t cry over a draft from 7 years ago or signing and trades from the past. It’s done . Coulda woulda shoulda. I don’t care. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I</div></div>
