I'm not trading Raymond either but I'd bet dollars to donuts Kenny boy would be demanding he be in the trade.
Discussions would probably end right there.
Actually I would trade Raymond to get Draisaitl. 😁

I agree with you on Olli.
But boy did he ever serve up a pizza in his own zone today.
Panthers didn't score.
But it was a great Jeff Petry impersonation! 😬

I definitely look at this roster and feel like we need another long term $5M middle six center...

Wings say no. Berggren can produce just as much as Kakko has and would come in cheaper and wings would like to retain veleno as a 4C that can move up to play 3C if need be.

Gibson would be an option but Verbeek knows the Red Wings prospects pipeline very well.
Which is why I don't see a trade happening. LOL
But Red Wings can't be trading a 1st right now.
They're cratering.
That pick could be very good.

He'll just have to live with Husso and Lyon next season.
Ideally he could have a vet goalie for 2 years.
It's all about buying time for Cossa who's had an excellent season in Grand Rapids.
He's 21 years old.
Cossa will play next season in Grand Rapids.
Year after he'll likely serve as a back-up goalie in Detroit.
Year after in 26-27 he'll be ready to start.
They also have Augustine who looks like a very good goalie prospect.
He just turned 19. LOL
He backed Team USA to a gold medal win at the WJC.</div></div>
Cossa would line up with Gibson’s contract imo

the term on the contract is rough, and thats a lot of money, but hes shown he can play in this league, and it would be the best 2C weve seen in years. If L.A takes Copp the other way, I'd see if there was a trade to be made

As an outsider, I have found a lot of Yzerman's moves the past two years to be puzzling. Fact is you're leaving the rebuild with maybe two genuinely elite talents, and they're both defensemen (and one of them is apparently being left in the AHL forever). To make up for that, he's loaded up the roster with middling vets with multiple years on their contracts. You're built to be the 2016-20 Blue Jackets, congrats.
Also, Michigan native Jeff Petry's NMC says absolutely not to that trade.

What rebuilding team doesn't have a single rookie in the lineup? Rebuilding teams need cap flexibility. Most of that cap room will go seider, Raymond and veleno. Leaves very little room to go get another high end piece.</div></div>
this was such a waste of a season lol
such a bizarre year, were supposed to be nearing the end of the never-ending rebuild, yet Yzerman gives all roster spots to mediocre vets who will be retired once this team has a legit shot at anything. Next season has to be what this season should have been, a youth movement. I don't think ASP is coming over yet, he's still a raw prospect and needs time to develop, but I'm ready to play kids like Kasper, Mazur, Edvinsson, Johansson over useless vets like Petry, Sprong, Fischer, Chiarot, Copp etc...

San joses prospect pool is still pretty weak, They'd be the team to target. They could use more picks to upgrade their prospect pipeline it's extremely weak.

I'd definitely consider it since the top 4 guys are all franchise guys that could be 1OA in an average year.

Detroit is keeping Berggren. His points/60 is almost as good as DeBrincat's and he doesn't cost 9 million to qualify.
Detroit will negotiate with Alex after he's become UFA on the 1st of July.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>No. You can drop one or some of the pieces and build a deal around Kasper or Raymond and Detroit's 23 1st.
The Jets have no reason to trade Connor for a collection of magic beans. You want a consistent 30 goal scorer on a fantastic contract, be prepared to pay up.</div></div>
So you’re saying that since it isn’t exactly what you want it isn’t a fair deal. Jets are in need of a rebuild. It seems that Connor wants out. Seems like a good step in a rebuild would be getting 2 picks inside the top 11 of the deepest draft in recent memory, plus 2 2nds, and 2 prospects (with middle 6 and top 4 potential). You might want Kasper or Raymond, but I’m sure Chicago wanted Ottawa’s top prospect or young stud for Cat. They didn’t get it so they took the picks.
Name me 1 player who has been traded for more than 2 top 11 picks and 2 2nds, let alone with prospects. The only trade that gives more is Gretzky, and Connor is great but he’s no Gretzky.

Essentially turned an expiring UFA in Horvat into Hronek, Beauvillier, and Raty. Hronek will likely have a bigger impact on the Canucks than Horvat. Overall a good move in a retool perspective. Hronek had an amazing year as well. The Canucks have a legit top 4 defenseman outside of Quinn Hughes</div></div>
Hey I’m just giving u some perspective on the player. I was shocked at what we got for him.
Knowing what I know about him - The most I’d pay for Hronek is a 2nd and maybe a 4th. So, to get what we got, my opinion is that it was an overpayment.

Saw this idea from another ACGM
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>Then feel free to keep him.</div></div>
Some comparables:
1 year of Kuemper - 1st/cond 3rd/Timmins
RFA rights Andersen - 1st/2nd
1 year Talbot - 2nd/3rd/7th
2 years Corey Schneider - 9th overall pick
RFA rights Martin Jones - 1st/Kuraly
RFA rights Varlamov - 1st/2nd
4 years Tomas Vokoun - 1st/2nd/2nd
So….no. Honestly…the OP of 2nd/1 year of Durzi if anything…is light.
However his NTC may limit options, or even make him untradeable. At which point it would be Swayman.

I feel like it's close, maybe upgrade Zadina to a better prospect. Would like to hear from ARZ fans.
To those curious on Wallinder, he is a prospect with a supposed crazy high ceiling. Was Rogle's #1 DMan in the SHL, lead the SHL in U21 points. Very underrated prospect. Drafted under the idea of "A lot of work needed, but a lot to work with"

I'm not gonna lie, I'd do it if I was Steve. The #1 thing they lack is a pure goal scorer and Connor only scored under 30 once and that was the COVID short year. Can you imagine how much this would open up for Larkin and Raymond having a guy like that on their other wing. Who knows if 9 or 17 will ever hit let alone make an impact. Connor is grossly underrated and I'd give these picks up to get him in a heartbeat

Buchanan is not worth the 9OA pick and a high defenseman prospect. He is good but not that good. On top of that he is 28 and does not fit the Wings time line.
