Robertson, Clifford, Abruzzesse, Anderson and Kral most likely start the season in the minors. Gaudette and maybe Simmonds will most likely start as scratches. 1 or 2 of Holl, Kerfoot, and Muzzin will be moved. You also have Engvall nowhere to be seen in this lineup. Dubas said yesterday he is looking to add more forwards and depth D. So no, this is not pretty much what we are looking at for the year.

So....
Yeah thats a proven winner lul</div></div>
He was only the starter for 1 of those 3 cups lol. And the cup he won was 10+ years ago where he put up a .908 sv% which isn't even good.
He has also lost the starting job in the playoffs many times in the last 8 years.
There are a multitude of better options for rn and for the future

Yes hes better and yes he won a cup but hes only played 2 50 game seasons in his career and especially this playoffs he got hurt twice and in some games did not look good.
Also giving him that money and term to me spells disaster
Would rather pursue MAF</div></div>
What is everyone's obsession with MAF. He is a 37 year old who isn't even a proven winner.

I didnt say what toronto is getting isn't fair. I said that Buffalo is getting a way better return than what they are sending out compared to the other 2 teams.

You are most definately a Buffalo fan. Buffalo basically trades #16 OA and #41 OA and gets picks #7 OA and #25 OA

One of topi knies (untouchable, I know but would be an ask) or your first this year. He’s a 22 year old center who plays with skill and tenacity. Really skilled, shifty, aggressive forechecker.</div></div>
This years first, topi, and Knies are pretty much our only untouchable futures. I feel like next years first or Robertson would be our most valuable assets that we would be willing to give up.

My bad bro I didn't know the ask was that high I just thought he was a wantaway. I switched Hirvonen in for Abramov and took out the 4th, what more would need to be added?

It was more of the idea of it really. Any team with picks 30-36 would work in reality. Especially someone like Winnipeg.

Toronto from outside perspective - Is this team better than last years
There are a couple of issues I have with this. For starters I don't think Engvall gets that much. 2.5 mil is the most I can see. Also, We shouldn't keep Holl at 2 mil if he is gonna be our 7th D. Lastly, we can't invest that much cap into our goalies if we aren't trading 1 of Muzzin or Nylander. We can't play with a bottom 6 like that over an 82 game season because when people get hurt it will be even worse.

I mean, Gio and Lilly were on the ice for 0 goals against tonight so y should they be scathed? Like I said in the description, Im cutting Muzzin some slack since it was his first game back. There were only 2 dmen on the ice for those 4 goals, Muzzin and Holl. So one of them has to be at fault. Now work this out with me, if Muzzin is covering his guy and then another guy is wide open in front of the net. who messed up?

Looks like somebody didn't watch the game. 3 of the goals he was on for were shorthanded which means they dont effect +/-. Although we were shorthanded the goal scorer was wide open in front of the net standing beside Holl. If boosh was there he would have easily cleared them from the net. Please dont look at the stat sheet without watching the game.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>IMO the Leafs are playing Abruzzese to see if centre ice capable for next season. Right now the Leafs don't have much NHL centre depth. And if they trade Kerfoot, for cap space, they have to be ensure all of Matthews, Tavares, Kampf. and Abruzzese are solid. There are no Marlies NHL ready. So maybe it's Nylander or Engvall that play centre next season in case of injury to their regular centres.</div></div>
I hope I never have to see Nylander play Center that would be terrible.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>I sure wish folks would watch Leaf games rather than look at scoring points. If worried about defensive play, don't know why Holl gets so much blame. Reilly and Brodie have been poor lately at even strength. But somehow the so many Leaf fans look at the salaries of players and make their contributions based on that.
Bunting has been very good.
So has Engvall and Mikheyev have been good.
The erratic Nylander at times is the one guy that doesn't live up to his contract or his prime minutes.
But I'll agree the Leafs better get balanced scoring five on five because they can't depend on the PP as the difference make in the playoffs.</div></div>
I have been watching the games, every minute of them. Holl was on the ice for 4 goals against tonight and on 3 of them he left his man wide open in front of the net. Rielly and Brodie have been poor which is why I didnt list Brodie as a player who has been "carrying". Only listed Rielly bc he has played very well offensively. Yes Engvall and Mikheyev have been good but they are not consistent like I said, they dissapear for half of the game just live everyone else in the bottom 9. Bunting has missed a lot of chances lately, he only looks good bc of Matthews and Marner.
