Picks by needs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>simonveilleux</b></div><div>A defenseman like Levshunov is much harder to find in my opinion than a complement to Bédard. Just look at Zach Hyman with the Oilers. Players like McDavid and Bedard make everyone on their line dominant; they don't need a superstar by their side. Levshunov is not a consolation prize, he reminds me of a smaller Hedman.</div></div>
You’re not wrong, but look at the Jets, they have a dominate D and only 1 1st round pick in that group! Personally I would rather have a talentedforward group and a more defense focused D group, but I’ve seen both ways win cups so who am I to judge.

Why is Eiserman falling
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AStovetop</b></div><div>And then in 5 years when Eiserman doesn't work out they can draft another shooter with a one dimensional game to replace him lol</div></div>
Eiserman is exactly like Holtz! Very one dimensional but that shot is elite! If he can get to average skater, passer, and Defensivly he could be a huge piece for the club who gets him, but if he doesn’t he likely ends up a 3rd line wing and PP specialist.

Picks by needs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>simonveilleux</b></div><div>I really like Demidov, but I think the Blackhawks need to solidify their defense IMO. Apart from Korchinski, Rinzel and Del Mastro, they have practically nothing. Allan might end as a 6th or 7th D. On the offensive side, they already have Bedard, Dach, Nazar, and Moore. Surely, one of them will move to the wing.</div></div>
They have Vlasic and Jones as well as multiple picks in the first 2 rounds and it’s much easier to find good D in 2nd round than it is a top line wing!

Yes adding picks is good! We need to bulk up on future picks for trade bait!
Honestly our prospect pool is in great shape and adding a top 3 and 4 in the first 45 plus 3 in the top 50 next year gives us the mix of elite prospects and quality depth we need, but sharks need to bolster up their 3rds and 4ths to go after pieces to fill in their roster here and there like Grier has already been doing!

Damn Nygard or Jiricek for the sharks 2nd pick would be tricky as I like Nygard but Jiricek is exactly what the sharks are lacking in their prospect pool.

Both guys aren’t grossly overpaid and at deadline could easily be dealt for mid round picks!

Yea if Chicago drafts 2nd they should be looking at a top wing for Bedard! Bedard Demidov could be electric and then they need to find a big power forward to pair with them as a net front presence and protection.

Both Sharks and Ducks need RHD, Dickenson is not a fit with Anaheim who already are deep at LD and Sharks need RD more than wingers right now.

Yea but he isn’t wrong with Calgary needing C depth! Still I would not be shocked if Buf NJ and Calgary picks are switched up. Calgary should draft a C but might go nostalgic with Iginla or opt for a true Sniper in Eiserman!
To be honest Iginla isn’t his father and that could be a recipe for disaster with fans expecting Dad type production and impact!
Fit wise I think Cal should go Catton
NJ should go Iginla
And Buffalo Eiserman
But that’s just my opinion

Do not give Kahkonen that deal or you will regret it, at most a 1 year 1.5 mil show me deal.
Demello and Ferraro would be huge in providing more defensive shut down roles and allow their partners to be more creative with their breakout passes and in the offensive zone. Domi has been good for you guys so keeping him isn’t a bad idea.
Washington isn’t paying a 2nd for Roberts (no one is) and you should not be giving up on Woll even for a 1st honestly! Plus doubt Colorado gives up a 1st for him.

DRAFT EISERMAN PLUS TRADE UP FOR IGINLA
I think too many scouts and ACGM’s are too low on Eiserman, even if he doesn’t develop another asset to his game he has an Ovechkin type snipe shot that could be super valuable to an NHL team. Not 100% sure Montreal is the best fit cause you guys already have a couple shoot first options, but I agree you shouldn’t pass on him if he falls

Actually both of those guys are decent and on the last year of their deals, if sharks can’t find anything of value in FA this might be a good option to reach the cap floor for them

24-25 Sharks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jamnjon</b></div><div>Purely looking at value, pick 14 would be 5.1 GSVA, pick 13 (if the Wild grab at least a point in their game) would be 5.3 GSVA, pick 10 is 6.0 GSVA, and pick 42 is 2.0 GSVA. The third rounder will be 0.5 or 0.6 GSVA. The Sharks would be giving up 7.1 to 7.3 GSVA for 6.5 or 6.6 GSVA. I looked through 18 trades where teams traded up in the 1st round and the team moving up typically paid around 10-20% extra as a sweetener. If they weren't sending back the 3rd and we were trading pick 14 it'd be a 18.33% sweetener, with the 3rd and 0.5 it's 9.23%, 3rd and 0.6 it's 7.58%. Pick 13 without the 3rd is 20%, with the 3rd at 0.5 it's 12.31%, with the 3rd at 0.6 it's 10.61%.
I suspect if the trade were to happen we wouldn't be getting the 3rd back but it really depends on how willing to move NJD is and how much we want the pick. (For reference when the Sharks traded back a few years back it was a 31.58% sweetener).</div></div>
Think if the sharks trade up it will be to jump ahead of a team in need of a RD to grab Parekh or Yakemchuk. And sharks would likely be willing to move their first and NJD or their own 2nd as a sweetener. But we will see!

Anderson dump = Harris + Calgary's 2025 1st (if we're being generous). Cool! Done.
So basically the Sharks are trading down from 1st overall to 6th for a 2nd and 3rd rounder NEXT year.
Sorry, but that's gonna be a pass.</div></div>

Anderson would cost a 1st plus Harris for us to take (don’t care what your value is on him we would only take him on for that) so your giving up the 6th OA and a 2nd and 3rd next year for the 1st OA??? I’m sure Montreal would do this, not a snowballs chance in hell would the sharks.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>redboi</b></div><div>My process on this was kind of a draft day situational type trade, theoretically, one of the top 6 dmen are still on the board and they jump the Sabres (who would be drafting the last of the 6) to land a top dman after snagging a forward with celebrini at 1. The devils are already stacked with talent and can see them wanting to move down and get their early 2nd back.
The sharks obviously already own their 2nd, but I can also see the sharks not wanting to part ways with either 2nd and limiting their darts thrown</div></div>
If Yakemchuk or Parekh are there at 10 this makes a ton of sense! Thanks for your insight.

I was thinking the same thing right value, wrong team!
But to be honest having Granlund as a vet presence would be a good option to have around! Maybe a TDL type move though

Top 10 with explanations
Sharks Russian scouting was a disaster this year and their Russian scout was fired, while Silayev might be the best option, I don’t see them risking a top 3 pick in a guy they have limited scouting on. Likely opt for Levshunov while Russian was playing in NA this year so there will be better scouting.
