On the positive side, it is 100% buriable.
On the negative side, it will be buried 100% of the time. I don't even know if this player is fit for the AHL.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KSIxSKULLS</b></div><div>Had a worst year than last. 21 in the NCAA, Goalies are voodoo though</div></div>
I watch a lot of Hockey East. Merrimack went from finishing 2nd in HE (both regular season and playoffs) and making the NCAAs to 2nd last in HE this year. Merrimack was very injured all year, and they missed 3 top 4 dmen (on top of other players) for varying parts of the season that added up. The dip wasn't on him, he still stole them a few games down the stretch. But goalies are voodoo like you said. His size certainly makes him a super interesting guy to follow lol

NCAA guys are always fun to gamble on, but Fenton doesn't look like he'll be anything great. Still, he is young; there are worse ways to use your 50 contract spots.

AHL Trade Deadline isn't until friday. Both players can't play in the NHL this year, but neither have a legit shot anyways.
You'll see a few more, likely AHL players on NHL contracts for FC

Great cheap deal. I think he's good enough to be in the NHL full time again, hope he gets the opportunity.

Best comment yet !
I can't wait to see how the Hawks overspend their money just to ice a team above the salary cap.
I'm honestly surprised they didn't claim Knutzy off waivers a couple days ago.

(SJS/VGK) - Hertl, 2025 3rd (SJS), 2027 3rd (SJS) for Edstrom, 2025 1st (VGK)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ARMCHAIRGMOFTHEYEAR</b></div><div>understand the frustration, but trust the process. This was a neccesary move.
San Jose had no future with those guys on the roster. Wilson left them ****ed for a while, gave out too much money and dashed and forgot to supplement the top talent with depth.
It may take a while, but San Jose had the most unattractive opening in the league when Grier was hired. It should take a while
San Jose could be getting the 12th Overall pick from EK trade who could be a good player if chosen and developed right. Probably a top 3 pick with your own pick. I hope you guys get Celebrini. That's a great start.</div></div>
Celebrini is probably going to CHI. Lets be real.
I can't trust the process with Grier at the helm. I've seen better trade proposals on this website than the ones he's made.

(SJS/VGK) - Hertl, 2025 3rd (SJS), 2027 3rd (SJS) for Edstrom, 2025 1st (VGK)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ARMCHAIRGMOFTHEYEAR</b></div><div>Most 1st rounds picks become only 3rd liners. Not a bad thing. If Edstrom can become an everyday NHLer (like a Laughton) that's a good result for him and San Jose... I should note he's even improved in his DY+1.
You have to acknowledge, Hertl's value was never going to be much higher than this. They essentially got 2 firsts for someone of no value to their rebuild.</div></div>
They gave up two 3rds though and are retaining for 6 years. They said to themselves "Lets just move up 60 picks once and throw away a pick in the 3rd, but also retain for 6 years. We'd like to pay to see this guy play against us. Preferably a division rival."
We need cap to hit the floor now.
So what are we going to do? Go overpay people. Add more overpaid contracts which is the "problem" with Hertl's apparently. Except it wasn't.
Also, the Sharks have enough 3rd and 4th guys. We don't have a top center. Which is what we just lost.
It's a joke. The EK trade is a joke. The Meier one was. The Burns one was. He loses. He loses trades. Grier sucks.

2 high 3rd going out, 2 low 1st coming in.
Basically upgrading only one full round, twice. This is not valuable at all. Clearly not worth a 1C and/or $8M of retained salary

Chicago got Anthony Beauvillier for just over 20 games and in exchange, they went DOWN in the draft. On the other hand, I wasn't expecting more given his performance in Chicago, so fair trade.
Anthony Beauvillier played worse in Chicago than in Vancouver, despite getting better ice time. What happened?

I'd certainly think so. Bunting is still there, Hyman likely is too. Depth wins Championships, and Toronto has always been top heavy.

And then Treliving gave Nylander pretty much the same contract (but a year longer) at the same age Tavares was when they signed him. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Sure, Mysak is kinda stuck behind guys like Rohrer, Kapanen, Beck, etc, we have an excess of centre prospects and Perreault has a lot of potential.
I think overall, this is a fair deal, maybe slight advantage to Montreal
