They need help on the left side but as funny as undoing the Chychrun trade with Chabot would be funny, definitely unrealistic yeah

Ostapchuk, Greig, Pinto, and y'all still have Giroux, Tkachuk, Stuetzle, Norris. Seems like a bit of a logjam but ig i might be wrong

That might be fair for Brannstrom but I can't imagine much interest in him over here. He's not the sort of blueliner we need.

okay pieces?
Dowd was getting offers of 2nd + at the deadline.
Lindgren atm is a top 7-10 goalie in the NHL. literally carrying the Capitals to a maybe playoff spot.
Jensen @ 2m a year is a great deal.
28oa + 3rd might not be enough for all those players if im being honest. Lindgren makes 1.1m Dowd makes 1.3m and Jensen @ 2m you fill 3 positions for very low $$

if we keep most of the roster in tact well probably keep Ully
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens65</b></div><div>You could offer DeBrusk a million less than that and he'd still go for it.
You could also go with 2 scratches instead of 4 which frees up another 1.5 million.
And the cap is probably going up to 87.7 not 87 million. So that's another 700k right there.
Which leaves you with $4.9 million of cap space to add another player. And if you do get another player with that money that subtracts one player from the roster who will lose his spot to the new guy.
So after all that, you can spend another $5.7 million on a player even with Ullmark staying.</div></div>
ya for sure, the reason i'm carrying an extra scratch (4 instead of 3) is whether or not Boston elects to try and slide Bussi through waivers or not. i don't see them carrying three goalies but who knows. they may have extra money but it's where will they use it.. if you don't sign OEL you can take a run at Hanifin but then does that block Lorhei long term. I don't know if the value Elias Lindholm anymore over zacha and coyle so unless they can trade for a #1 center i suspect they may stay status quo for the season.

What would he realistically cost in a trade. I was thinking of him or Ehlers in the offseason.

It's an overpay but he's picked it up the past couple months, he's rocking a .920 his last 10 games at 3.75 million dollars. Definitely still a positive asset imo

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens65</b></div><div>Is there any player on the Sens you'd want in a one-for-one deal?</div></div>
I dont think so. CBJ don't need more depth players, either F or D, which is what an Olivier trade would probably entail in a 1-F-1.
He's jsut an all-around solid 4th liner who is tough, and liked in the locker room. Unless someone wants to lop a 2nd for him or something, I'm not really shopping him.

When Columbus traded for him, I hated the move. The last 2 months or so have turned him into one of my favorite players, we're lucky to have him.

^____ This. What's he worth as a player? Probably a 3rd. But why move a fan-favorite, locker-room favorite, perfect fit on the 4th line, leader in a young room, who brings something no one else on the team has? He's probably gone at TDL for a 3rd or 4th, but until then, it takes an overpay to land him (2nd or more).

He was acquired for a fourth. He's easily worth more than that now.

Can't really say anything about Olivier til we get an idea of the new GM and his plans. As of now, Columbus liked Olivier enough to extend him, and somehow he's only a -2 this season on a terrible team playing hard defensive minutes (for all that +/- matters). Plus he fights. He's 100% worth his roster spot to Columbus. New GM may decide to re-make the bottom 6, though.
