Montreal would likely need to add the WPG 1st, though allegedly Xhekaj is untouchable (even though he’s an enforcer 3rd pair dman)

You don't trade high end draft capital to address the bottom of the lineup

Add in a couple CGY prospects to balance it out.

Draft capital is key, unless we are getting a legit RHD with term back for that pick, there is no way we move it.

The other 3? No shot. Blues won’t trade them at all. I’d do Kyrou 1 for 1 or with maybe a small add for Brady but more than that? I think the blues should just stay the course</div></div>
You’re on a lot of drugs if you think the Blues wouldn’t trade Snuggerud or Dvorsky for BT…

The hockey writers are idiots and the blues can't afford to make that trade. Trade Parayko and might as well do a full rebuild, cause we are taking a weak defense and making it worse. We don't have an Ekblad, Montour, and Forsling in our Dcore. You guys should keep Brady and continue the path you guys are on

If Lou Lamiorello wants to spend what he got yesterday on Chychrun
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Adir4</b></div><div>Dorion had no idea what he was doing.
He'd give away picks like they were free candy, and had no problem getting mediocre returns thinking they were the best trades ever made.
Pierre Dorion was an amateur employee in a professional role he had no business being in.
So whether he knew the value of the trades or not (which I'd lean towards the latter), he was a dumb f**k.
Now we're left picking up the pieces to try and get back on track.</div></div>
Rebuilding team trading away #7 + #12 (Obviously we didn't know where the 1st would land in the Chych deal but it was obviously going to be a lottery pick) is just malpractice. The guy set this team back so far. If we had those 2nds + Korchinski + But (Or Benson who went right after and thats who I would've wanted at #12) this team would be in a much better spot.
Now we have such high expectations of Staios to turn it around when the guy barely has anything to play with and he's in a terrible spot. Reality is this team is likely not a playoff team next season and big changes will need to be made to fix what Dorion did.

In the event of the worst possible outcome with the first 6 picks in the draft
Ohh, yeah, this could absolutely happen. I think it goes Celebrini, Demidov, Levshunov as the top 3 no matter what, with Lindstrom, at #4, and one of Iginla, or Catton at #5. Utah, I could see grabbing Parekh, but they have also been one to take chances, as shown last year with Simashev, and But. I personally think they take Eiserman this year.

I would not have made this trade until it is the Isles' turn to pick at #18 and I got to see who the BPA is at #18.</div></div>
Zipf's law is also a really good tool to determine the winner of this trade.

Or it could be that they have an NHL trade in the works that requires them to have a pick "inside the top 20" to make it work for the other team.

Unless they have a much higher rating on the top 18 players and a big drop off after that and felt it wasn't worth the risk of not getting someone they value (basically worried that the Vegas Golden Knights would steal their guy).
