<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>So this season isn’t his most recent body of work...

Lol so you want to drop this season because he is struggling and his first season because it was nothing special??? I don’t have to drop anything from nylander because he is a consistent producer with a far better skill set and ceiling than schmaltz... so pick the mic back up before you trip over it.

I said schmaltz Murphy and a second and you implied that makes nylander the second coming of mcdavid....</div></div>

How do you compare Nylander this season? The best comparable is last season for both players. The entire Hawks team is struggling which is the difference versus Nylander playing a team that is one of the top 3 scoring teams in the league. A lot of people are saying Nylander benefited from it which is why his assist numbers are so high, and he's not the two way player schmaltz is. Schmaltz on TOR playing with those lines would put up Nylanders numbers, I'm certain of that.

I'm basically saying you think Nylander deserves a lot more then he's worth. Schmaltz, Murphy and a 2nd is overpaying. Schmaltz and a 2nd is questionable for Nylander as they are so close in value to one another given the variables.

Why I agree Nylander straight up for Schmaltz is not fair value for Nylander taking a leap of faith he isn't better because he plays on a better scoring line, but the value is still very close. You can disagree as most TOR fans would but I doubt the majority of people who understand hockey and aren't baised would disagree with me.
