The Oilers D-core is better with Benning than with Schlemko and Benn and Nuge is far better than Pleckanec. I'd even go as far to say Oilers d-core with Sekera is better:
Klefbom>Markov Weber>Larsson, Sekera>Benn, Petry>Russell, Nurse>Davidson, and Benning>Schlemko.</div></div>

Does it? I checked from Wikipedia, and the compensation cost for four first round picks is about $9,5M.</div></div>
You gotta take the total sum of the contract and divide it over five years.
So in this case 8,875,000 × 7 = 62,125,000 ÷ 5 = $12,425,000 would be the offer sheet compensation amount.</div></div>
$1,295,571 or less, No compensation
$1,295,571 to $1,962,968, Third-round pick
$1,962,968 to $3,925,975, Second-round pick
$3,925,975 to $5,888,960, First and third-round picks
$5,888,960 to $7,851,948, First, second and third-round picks
$7,851,948 to $9,814,935, Two firsts, a second and third-round picks
Over $9,814,935, Four first-round picks

no team has the big of an a-hole GM. its a real Richard move to sign another GM's RFAs, especially with the intend to handcuff them</div></div>

Couturier > Galchenyuk. Not only is Couturier our best defensive center-man, he is our only defensive center-man. Without him, the whole team falls apart on the PK, our 3rd line is now more unstable than before.
Giroux, IMO, is slightly better than Pacioretty. while he doesn't put up the same numbers as Pacioretty, Giroux has the ability to make everyone on his line and PP unit better, or at least, inflate their numbers.
McNiven >> than Dale Weise, but we have no need for more goalie prospects, as we have the deepest prospect pool in the NHL.
While the value might seem to equal, you failed to look at it from the PHI perspective. We now have one center on our team, Valarti Filppula. Nolan Patrick might be able to crack the roster, but thats a rookie on the 2nd line without a 3c or 4c to safety net him. Thats a huge role, especially if one goes down to injury.</div></div>
Fair enough for Couturier.
and as for the deepest prospect pool for goalies....yeah ok buddy whatever you say lol aside from Carter Hart.. i see nothing impressive (Stolarz looks decent). I would put Columbus ahead by a mile in terms of Goalie prospects. (Korpisalo,Forsberg,Dansk)</div></div>
doesnt really help montreal either losing all our wingers

Galchenyuk = 5 AAV player / 5ish years
Alzner : if you actually knew his game, he is one of the best defensive defensemen in the NHL, is an iron man, and can put on the ice with less than 2 minutes left to preserve a lead. He will get north of 4.5 AAV.</div></div>

its not that Montreal has been terrible at drafting its that they've been terrible at developing their prospects
