56 points without JT. he doesnt need him

His recent high value has been artificially fabricated by the media and what not. same goes for Raanta. Yeah he's a potential starter in the NHL. So are Hallebucyk and Hutchinson and Comrie. Neal? 1 year left of him. Manson is the best piece here but once again a piece WPG doesn't need. If your getting Manson to play on your 3rd pairing than he's a waste.
Winnipeg is so close. Stay the course. Resist the urge to "boing!" and this team will be a perennial cup contender real soon.</div></div>

Exactly I think blowing up their D like that and still loosing a pick is worse than how I have it, and only getting one 1st rounder next year doesnt feel like enough with all of McPhee's options</div></div>
there also the fact that there's 4D to protect is anaheim going to expose cogliano, silvferberg

The lack of accuracy from both sides. Some MTL fans expect the moon while some non fans think we're going to give away a 23 year old 6'2, 210 Lbs, 30 goal scoring center/winger for peanuts.
Believe me, both sides of the spectrum are at fault here. Not just the MTL fans.</div></div>

Says who? If he deal is for VGK to take Vatanen her Manson they would probably be taking on a bad contract (Clayton Stoner) at least. Vatanen has value and the Ducks didn't leave both unprotected so Vatanen could be taken for nothing. What people don't realize is the trade was completed a couple of weeks ago. So at that time ANA would tell VGK that they would trade Vatanen and buyout Bieksa. Rather than get Vermette or someone similar they get a 2nd Round Pick or so to just leave him alone.</div></div>
removing bieska means they have 4 defense man they want to protect. its lose-lose what ever Anaheim does

Yeah, that's where you are wrong. The Ducks made a deal with Vegas before the freeze so that at least Manson an possibly also Vatanen would be protected. The Ducks didn't have to pay as much because ANA would have told VGK that they would trade Vatanen and buyout Bieksa. So instead Vegas accepted a deal for Picks that they would otherwise not get had they not made a deal with the Ducks. Since the deal was made there is no point in buying out Bieksa.</div></div>
Anaheim would still be in trouble

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GreenRtR</b></div><div>Sorry man. This would be a good team, but Mackinnon, Panarin and Anisimov are all off limits. Mackinnon is the only player on Colorado that they will 100% not trade. Anisimov is a player that the Hawks MIGHT trade if you blew them away with an offer, but you're not shedding Shaw's contract and I really don't think that the Habs have any players that the Hawks would be willing to pay for the production in return. Although they could use the draft picks I think they're still trying to win now. Panarin is probably their second best player. He's locked up. And Anisimov is locked up for extremely reasonable money and he gave them a lot of production this season. I don't see them trading him unless they were getting equal production in a player that wasn't much older plus a high draft pick.</div></div>
anisimov and panarin are not even close to locked up. hawks have major cap issues theyd love to get rid of anisimov. panarin would be hard to swallow but everyone else is on nmc so hes the only option

From what I've been reading, there are rumors that Minnesota is trading a top prospect of theirs to Vegas in order for them to not choose Dumba & Scandella for the ED. If Vegas gets a top prospect (one of Kunin/Tuch/Ek) & maybe more (1st round pick) from MIN, the next best choice for them is to choose Staal. This is where MTL comes in and trades for him through Vegas!</div></div>
good to known

haha yeah i definitely think that's helping but also with this draft i think it's actually being talked down a little too much just because there are no mcdavids, eichels, matthews, or players of that sort but the top like 20ish prospects all are definitely worthy 1st round prospects. and with kulemin he is still a solid veteran player-yes he is overpaid a good amount but he is still very capable of being a productive 3rd liner for a team and is one of the better defensive wingers in the league and a very good penalty killer..with him yeah he is bad if you want to look at him based on his contract but for vegas who will have no cap problems it wouldn't be a terrible pick based on who they would be choosing from</div></div>
I'm a big believer of the bounce back year/fountain of youth (it's been happening a lot recently all over sports) Kulemin definitely has that potential, regarding the draft i feel a lot of the prospects have a high risk high reward situation. if there is a miracle and some how Grabovski resurrects it would be amazing for vegas
