Leafs Land A Big Fish
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingExLeafs</b></div><div>Dismantled? Hardly.
On this roster Meier is making 3 million with 4 million left on the cap. Don't resign Engvall, that's 2.5 million extra. So Meier can be resigned and he would be the perfect left winger to Matthews and Marner. Bunting can't be brought back, but I'd prefer the Leafs pay a true power forward 8-9 million rather than pay Bunting 5 million and Engvall 3-4 million.</div></div>
You can easily do this. Please do it to prove palhal wrong. He loves being right about everything. Do it King!!!

I have to be honest, I never considered Perron as a potential option, but I like that deal. I think maybe we would prefer to up the prospect a bit and turn the 23 pick into 24, but I really like it regardless.

Sneaky TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BigShoots</b></div><div>Nor would the Canucks accept Minten for Kuzmenko</div></div>
Both sides wouldn't do it. Canucks like him. He's not the player the Leafs need for the playoffs as this is his first season and who knows if he could handle a bigger market and media and playoffs.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RipNasty</b></div><div>I wouldn't give up Minten for Kuzmenko</div></div>
Nobody would or should give up anything for Kuzmenko who's shooting at a high percent and the rest, just see above.
------------
With that being said, Knies can't be the 2LW and Kuzmenko is not what we need. If Knies gets inserted, he needs 3rd or 4th line, not top 6 in the playoffs when everybody's jobs are on the line here. I like a go big approach with a big name..but I also really love the idea of Henrique on this team. It would allow them to make another move with Anaheim retention. Toews would be sick there, but I really think he's going to Winnipeg or Colorado honestly.

Two way adds for leafs
I love Villeneuve so that hurts, but I have on my non-posted ACGM us getting Henrique too. I completely agree with your takes on him and I would slot him in the 2LW spot too. I think he would mesh so well with JT and Marner. I think Henrique makes a ton of sense for this team.

Fixing the Unfixable
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Levig01</b></div><div>I think that the value might be almost fair, but adding in sanheim is too much. I think a good prospect would be better. As far as TK, he is on a much better contract and is playing really well right now, he was only benched cause its torts coaching tbh.</div></div>
Yeah Sanheim is too much, I agree with that. & I'm not disagreeing with the Torts factor of things, but to say Marner's value is lower because he got benched when literally Konecny was benched is stupid. If you're going to bring benching into it - which I disagree with which is why I mentioned it- then it's stupid not to acknowledge the other side. Just say the trade is too much and provide a better reasoning than "he was benched" when a player coming back was also benched.
Pretty simple to understand imo

As of now, Holl would be enough. Nobody knows what's going to happen, I think if Kerfoot was gone just to offload, it would have been done by now. I have zero doubt they are assessing all their options including bigger trades, or something even as simple as waiting until the last minute to get cap compliant to see if anything happens. Pretty easy to see there could be multiple different ways they could go.

I love Kerfoot and don't want to lose him, but he would be great in PIT, especially because of his versatility, which you mentioned in the description. Idk if the Leafs would go in on Nylander, but your proposal is definitely on the right track.

& if that happens, he will go on LTIR, Samsonov takes over, and they will make a huge addition prior to TDL. I think it's very telling that Samsonov requested a 1 year deal to prove himself. I have very, very little doubt in this tandem.

Oh, we will. That tandem is going to turn out to be amazing and I can't wait for all the analysts and everyone to eat their words.
No use in debating though, just let the games be played and watch the results. I am super confident in that tandem.

Yeah, I'm very nervous and excited to see what he does. I love Kerfoot and Muzzin, so I'm expecting to be a little hurt, but I love what he's done so far. Kerfoot in Calgary is a beautiful fit, indeed. I would love to see that if he's gone.

Take it from the Bruins
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Isles5513</b></div><div>I am pretty sure that Nylander and Murray for Jeannot and Saros is trolling.</div></div>
This may or may not be the case with a lot of ACGM's..but hear me out, I always look at it from the perspective that -especially this time of the year with FA and trades going nuts- maybe some people just come on here to see things and get feedback. Maybe some people are new here or don't come on often. I mean, if this were the NBA, yeah, you could totally make crazy trades..and I'm not saying this is the case in this scenario, but, if someone were an NBA fan and sees all these crazy trades happen so quickly after someone signs or is already traded, that could be easy. Especially with the new ESPN deal in the States. Again, not necessarily related to this, but I'm quite sure this happens. I'm quite sure it's why sometimes we don't see totally filled out rosters (even though that does drive me nuts). the NBA has a trade machine, but no major sports has a site like CapFriendly has for the NHL where we can all have this discussion and build complete rosters like this (at least that I know of). This site is truly one of a kind in all major sports.

Let me quote it for you straight for the sites rules:
TROLLING
Posting a thread or a reply to a thread that's sole purpose is to start an argument is not permitted on CapFriendly.
This includes non-constructive replies to Armchair-GM threads such as "lol", "terrible" "not realistic". If you want to criticize an armchair-gm team, your post should focus on answering the question "why".
If you believe an armchair-gm team was posted to troll, please report it and do not reply to it, the moderators will remove it.
Non-constructive posts include telling a person that a team laughs at their proposal is not permitted. If you do not have anything constructive or polite to post, please do not post. Examples include "ANA laughs at that offer", "If I were GM I would hang up the phone on you", "We laugh you out of the room"
Submitting a post that implies you have reported a post, such as "reported", or "I have reported this post", is against the rules and will receive an infraction point for trolling."

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Isles5513</b></div><div>I’m not sure how you would describe Juuse Saros for William Nylander in a “constructive manner,” but we all know how nice Leafs fans are on this site. I’ve never been berated with messages cause a leaf’s fan is mad I don’t think their trade is fair.</div></div>
I'm just sick of seeing people like this on this site who just laugh at others or insult who take time to post. How about something like? "Murray just signed with Toronto, and Saros is a much better proven goalie, so this trade wouldn't work based around that" or if you're focused on Willy for Saros, how about "that would be the groundwork of a trade, but you would have to add more to it". Like, seriously, is it really hard for people to not be jerks in this world?
On the flip side, you can also report ACGM's if you think it's a troll job...which given the fact this person actually took the time to fill out the roster, with cap, and include scratches, I would probably say that's not the case.
