That 2nd line is certainly not the best in the league. BOS, EDM, FLA, and a couple more are better.

also the screenshot you posted has him as a middle 6 player lmao</div></div>
the "middle six" is based on ice time, not production. He's well outproducing his ice-time. Hence using ESG/60.
Kapanen got a 1st+ and Debrusk is certainly a better player.
He's a 25 goal a year guy with playoff success. That type of player gets a 1st rounder

What to do in offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vr1995</b></div><div>cherry picked stat, hes a 40 point winger that is lazy and isnt good defensively, bruins fans are clinging to his career year 3-4 years ago, hard for them to accept that they screwed not 1 but all 3 of those picks, middle 6 winger</div></div>
goals scored at even strength are pretty damn important. When you're playing 14-15 minutes a night compared to 18-19 like many others, per/60 minutes is a very applicable stat to level the playing field.
Saying he's not good defensively is simply incorrect. Analytically, he's one of the better defensive players in the league. https://cdn.theathletic.com/app/uploads/2022/03/06115021/Screen-Shot-2022-04-06-at-10.28.05-AM.png
He's had one bad year, a covid, injury riddled season last year. If that's what you look at, you're certainly the one cherry picking.
seems like its hard for you to accept that Debrusk is a top-6 player

he's a 25-year-old on a good contract with two 20 goal seasons under his belt. Currently 34th in the league in even strength goals/60. Players in that range are: Draisaitl at 29, Pastrnak at 31, Marner at 33, Larkin at 37, Tarasenko at 38.
He is a top 6 forward

I get that, but I'd rather the superior player, especially when Reilly has some experience playing his off side. Seems like we're getting a whole 3rd pair swap

Is this a fair trade for DeBrusk
Bruins decline pretty easily. two weeks ago Debrusk had more value than Yamo, now Yamo has more value than him. Both skilled, streaky players that fluctuate in value a lot. Cant see Bruins trading another 1st rounder for a marginal (if that) upgrade

Cup Team Has to Be
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>Why does everyone think a cup team starts at Center? The most important piece for a cup team is in net. A real GM builds their team from the net out. Go find a good quality starter, have 3 very good defensive pairings (each one has to have a strong defensive D man and a 2 way or PMD).</div></div>
sure. but this team almost certainly wins the cup

Well I guess this is it
it all kinda depends on how Debrusk was valued throughout the league. If there was a Rakell or Copp for Debrusk + a little something, I'm disappointed. If he was essentially a throw in on any deals for one of those guys and a deal would've had to be Debrusk+2nd+prospect (Studnicka?) Im happy he stayed put.
We acquired the best defensemen on the market without giving up our top 4 prospects. Im ok with that. People saying we aren't cup contenders are crazy, 2nd most wins in the NHL since Jan 1st. and they got better. Its going to be damn hard to score against these guys in the playoffs

i cant see the bruins trading for another defenseman. Forbort and Reilly is a damn good bottom pair and having Clifton and Ahcan at 7/8 is not a problem. most they do is trade for another 7th d or something

Bruins new off-season plan
Lysell almost certainly wont be in the NHL next year. Definitely wont be on the first line. He was drafted as a bit of a project and despite playing well, I'm guessing he'll have another year in the WHL, play a season in the AHL, and then we'll see him with the Bruins. maybe he goes straight to AHL next year, just wont be in the NHL

Center
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NathanHorton</b></div><div>Idk what the deal is for the cap hit but it’s 4.1 idk why it says 4.9 and it’s that number because we just traded our 2023 second so the bruins would either have to acquire a second rounder or give up a first and a third. Your out of your mind if you don’t think Roy is 2c and wouldn’t be amazing between hall and pasta</div></div>
he had 15 points last year. Charlie Coyle is outscoring him. Haula has 4 less points. saying im out of my mind if i dont think Roy is a 2c is absolutely ridiculous.
could be a nice add for a lower price. not the answer for 2c and there is zero chance the bruins give up a 1st to get him, especially after dealing a 1st and two 2nd for Lindholm
