I can fix it for you - replace Savoie with Ostlund and possibly another piece.
You have to admit that Karlsson would be great with Power.

2023-2024 cap crunch when Horvat resigns
Let's hope the Canucks do not roll with that 6 again in 23-24.
Ideally, they should unload both Myers and Poolman and look to rebuild that right side.
They may have to overpay for someone like Severson if he hits the open market.

Don't think Buffalo goes for that deal - they have enough picks and need players.

There is no incentive for the Isles to do that deal now and give up their safety net in Varlamov.
The problem with this deal is Varlamov has a 16 team NTC - I wonder if Edmonton would be a team he'd go to.
Isles will need to use that 1st to flip for a top 4.

No way that deal works for Varalmov. And isles taking Koskinen? Nope.
That second needs to be a first and in '22 draft..
Look at Kuemper deal and Edmonton gets Varly for another year.

If you are dumping. Scandella just include him in the trade with Tank... isles need a d man.

Most Realistic Offseason Unfortunately
Good one.
I don't agree with all the signings (regarding the AAv & terms) - I think Palmieri should be a bit higher, Parise should be lower and no way on the term, and Reilly will get more term, but overall good job.
And the core is in place -hope is youngsters take the next step and elevate.

Keeping the picks
Not sure if jake McCabe was lining up against other teams top lines, but maybe he was.
He is NOT a top 10 defensive defenseman - in this top 10 are we excluding other types of d men? what kind of list is this? It's misleading to prove your point.
I mentioned the PP because you mentioned that he drives offense - I think saying that is a miscategorizing what McCabe does -
He isn't a productive-point producing D man -
Look, I see what you mean and the analytics your looking over - in terms of def. zone starts and having a relatively strong Corsi - he also doesn't play as many minutes as I thought just over 18 minutes.
He is in line with Edmundson and Chiarot, but with his injury and time with Sabres - I am not sure he gets that type of deal. Just my opinion.

I'm not too sure about what you mean about "driving offense". He is not a productive d-man and doesn't play the PP.
Top 10 defensive defenseman !?
I will strongly disagree with that
He's solid d man but top 10?
And he missed the entire season to injury - I think with flat cap - he can be had for less than 3.

Selling low on Varlamov too - Edmonton would jump at that.
Varly gets more than a 2nd and 3rd.

Sure.
Not absolutely crucial.
I do not like the idea of Ladd for #1.
What do you think of sending Leddy out to a team like Detroit or Buffalo for like 5th or 6th round pick. And signing Goligoski in 2-2.5 range, inorder to hold onto that '22 #1 and just bury Ladd?
Not sign Zajac and just roll with a 22 man roster?

Leddy for Detroit's 2021 5th rounder makes a lot of sense for Detroit next season. It is reminiscent of Murray to the Devils last season.
They have plenty of draft picks and cannot sign all of them - use one to add to a LHD dman, who can eat some minutes and feature on the PP - if it doesn't work out they can flip him at the deadline for a pick or 2 in '22 and '23.

Ladd Healthy Pain and Agony
It is going to cost more for a team to take on Ladd, Komarov, and Hickey,
Hickey and Komarov will cost a 2nd rounder each.
Ladd a 1st +
And the only way Beau resigns for 3 AAV is if it is for 1 year Beau.

Seattle
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTBF81</b></div><div>Too bad that’s not how it works, as smart GM’s are concerned with making their teams better, not screwing over certain teams. No, Seattle won’t be getting Foote most likely either. It’s really not complicated, as either Tampa will make a deal to have Seattle take Johnson(most likely scenario), or Tampa will expose McD and give Seattle a choice between him or a F like Joseph, Barre-Boulet, or Stephens. If Seattle takes McD, yes the short term loss would be rough, but it would benefit Tampa in the mid to long term by freeing up a lot of cap room. So much room in fact, that Tampa could likely keep 2-3 of the players they would have to let walk most likely. There is no chance Seattle is getting Cirelli, Foote(unless Tampa has soured on him, which if so, oh well), or any of the other big name F or D that Tampa wants to keep. If GM Francis wants to ask for laughably high returns on deals, most teams will trade elsewhere and either leave the Kraken much weaker overall than Vegas was, or force Francis to make reasonable deals. Seattle has some leverage, but not as much as so many seem to think.</div></div>
Seattle has a lot of leverage.
When a GM has leverage like that they'll wield it. They did over Anaheim, Florida, and Minnesota in the last expansion draft. If Johnson is the player TBY wants out, it will cost more than a #1.
McD is the player TBY should hope is selected... Point is up for a contract next season with not many expiring contracts coming off the books. McD off the books helps.

You are probably right.
Sure - taking Foote could work to make it more difficult for Tampa
Let's make it clear all 31 teams should make it hell for Tampa to be cap compliant.

Yeah, I'm really putting the screws to the Lightning in this scenario.
If they want out of their cap hell - they'll have to pay.
