buffalo sabres rise on my favorite teams list
although it’s kinda pointless to point out I’d run:
Olofsson - Eichel - Reinhardt
Kahun - Cozens - Quinn
Kinda like the triplets line, that’s just an exciting trio to look at

they clearly are confident with Cozens at 2C since they passed on 3 centres

Vegas declines.
Reports say teams want 1st+2nd to retain 50% and send him elsewhere. You don't get a 1st for MAF at 3.5m lol, you're the one paying.

what about the murray trade?</div></div>
I don't know why Pittsburgh would offer that deal tbh. I really like Hinostroza, but he's a 4th liner, and Legare is a pretty decent prospect. It probably wouldn't take more than like a 4th or something similar to get a guy like that.
Also I'm completely burnt out on Matt Murray trade talk, but you chose a team that isn't the Sens, so you get 5 stars from me lol.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PENSFAN18</b></div><div>Are there any rumors about Hagelin being moved???</div></div>
Not officially, and he had a great season, with 25 points, and the most ice time by a forward on the 6th ranked PK in the league. Definitely exceeded the expectations of a 2.75M cap hit. But a bunch of Caps fans on here are looking to add a scoring wing to the 3rd line, and there aren't a lot of other movable contracts, so I see a fit there.
I think Zucker would come to WSH and play 3L, PP1, and free Kuznetsov up to play center on PP2, giving the Caps two serious power play units. Then if Seattle takes Oshie, Zucker could move to 2R next year, so the last two years of Zucker's 5.5M contract would look like good deals, as he gets back to his 50 point self. If this deal helps Pitt put together a full team this year, I think WSH could deal with the salary cap math. I posted it on the Caps side, here: <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1980741">https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1980741</a>

I doubt it, murray isn't a much better option than johnson for trading. I imagine he wants top 10 starter money probably 4-6 mil. I'd rather have 2 backs split time for that money. Because im pretty sure murrays no better than talbot, elliot, greiss, crawford, jones, and so on for goalies that are on the block or ufa's

Both of those are a huge price to pay. And it’s easy to forget that Murray is gonna get 5 to 6 and he has more risk than most other goalies that cost that much. Also, Pittsburgh doesn’t have a credible threat to hold on to him. The leverage just isn’t there.

Also, for what it's worth, it doesn't sound like Guerin is interested in Murray. Russo is pretty certain he's not discussing him, and that Fleury is his preferred goaltender.

I like Zucker to WSH. Sounds good. And I think Hagelin definitely has the speed to keep up with a skill line, and could be scoring more points on a team that doesn't have Ovechkin and Vrana ahead of him on the left side.
I think you're overpaying for Tanev having a right-handed shot, in a weak UFA RHD crop. If you look at his points, minutes, zone starts, corsi, plus/minus, hits, and blocks, this year, Tanev is not quite as good as Michal Kempny. The Caps are rumored to be shopping Kempny so they can sign Brenden Dillon.
So why not Hagelin and Kempny for Zucker? Then Pittsburgh is as good as the above team, but with $2M more cap space, and WSH has roster spots for Dillon and Siegenthaler at LD. Can Kempny play his off-side? Probably, but I bet Dumoulin would do better on his off-side, staying ready for one-timers from the top of the right circle.

I think under a flat cap, with *Hagelin* making 2.75M on the third line and PK1, a 2nd absolutely gets him back, without any other players moving.
*typo said Zucker.

I like it. Caps have Arizona's 3rd this year or their own next year, depending whether Pit is more interested in drafting a player or having something to trade at the deadline to fill that 2M cap space.

with the Jarry signing
With the Jarry signing Murray's trade value just went thud. Pitt can't keep him. There are 10 or so ufa goalies plus whichever goalies on the trade market. Probably eliminate the first 3 rounds when looking for compensation...
