Philadelphia Flyers signed Kevin Hayes (7 Years / $7,142,857 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Brian2016</b></div><div>He could be the next Tim Murray if these huge moves don't pay dividends next season. He's clearly in win-now mode despite a plethora of young talent at all positions. Personally, I think he's acting quite recklessly.</div></div>
The next one will be moving Gost for nothing.

It's physiological for sure. $50M just has a different ring to it, right? It sounds more than one dollar more than his actual contract amount.</div></div>
I was thinking a cup of coffee because he sells himself short.

Imagine in the next CBA the league adds an "opt out" option similar to the NBA. would be insane. it won't happen obviously but that would be a fun thought.</div></div>
Read an article that said under current cba if player salaries is more than 50% of revenue it goes into escrow. Do you know how that works? This seems to be the #1 issue for players.

Shatty to Tampa as mutual Cap Dump

If there was some way to move Shatty and get the Cally dump and also take on Johnson. I think the rangers could use him as a 2c, but the 5 years left is to long.

This is true but Trouba was walking at the end of 2019-2020. Ehlers has 6X6 left on his contract and thats seems a bargin with all the madness handed out. I do see Risto has 3X5.4 left + a 6th is light to me.

Philadelphia Flyers signed Kevin Hayes (7 Years / $7,142,857 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Brian2016</b></div><div>I still think the Skinner deal was the most egregious so far. At least Hayes is a C and pretty solid defensively. What I don't understand is that Couturier is the clear #1C. Patrick will, or at least should, be #2 in 1-2 years. Who pays over $7M for a 3rd line C? What're his numbers gonna look like in PHI? he's not gonna play #1PP. This is a bad deal for PHI.</div></div>
You may be right but all the over pays (Skinner Karlson Hayes) and term handed out it"ll be a tossup which one is the worst first. BTW I was watching Pegs games at the end of the reg. season and Hayes was playing 4th line.

You are not getting Ehlers, Nikolaj for that, not enough.
Would you give NYR #31 pick for Vesey and #68?

Trouba just got a first and garbo player. Vesey is nowhere on Trouba's level.</div></div>
The first is St.Louis #31. The 3rd going with Vesey is NYR #64. Vesey, to move down 33 picks with your own 1st in pocket. Not far fetched as Buffalo has interest in him.

(WPG/NYR) - Trouba for Pionk & 1st round pick (#20 - WPG)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>krakowitz</b></div><div>I like the deal from both sides. This is probably the best deal the Jets were going to find for him. It's a cheap 2nd pairing RHD and a mid first which is probably about what they'd hope for since they most likely couldn't find the perfect deal where they get essentially a cheaper replacement for him. Once people watch Pionk more, they'll see how he's actually a very strong defenseman, just doesn't have the name recognition yet.
The Rangers are getting the best player in the deal though, so they should be considered the winners. They gave up two pieces that they didn't really need for a guy who can be their top pairing RHD as this team rises up in the ranks of the leagues best.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jpsnow13</b></div><div>How could WIN not include an additional conditionnal draft pick if Trouba resigns or get traded at deadline?!?! What a steal...
NYR could flip him at the next deadline and get a better return!</div></div>
Pionk is no 2nd pair D, he sucks!

Miller is a better get then what Trouba will cost to aquire. He will want 7 or 8 million long term. Miller has 3 years left on a very reasonable deal.
