plz just take both. We won't be able to afford them with our forward core of Eriksson, Sutter, Beagle and Roussel

Vancouver says no. While I like Miller, we can't afford to give up one of our best young dmen.
Also you would have to give up much more to get rid of Callaghan.

EDM-COL Draft Trade Read Description
I can't see Edmonton making that trade. They give up on of their only point producers for a defenseman who relies on the powerplay, and isn't the best defensively. Not to mention you are making them move down in the draft. The type of prospect they can get at 8th would be much better than 16th and whoever they get at second.
Nugent Hopkins+3rd+4th for Barrie + 16th overall seems much more fair.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bunzy1034</b></div><div>Perrault isn’t really a cap dump tbh. He is a real versatile player who’s value is hovering around a 4th. Could for sure play solid 3rd line minutes for you guys. However the jets would have to add a prospect or another mid round pick at least.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>arafay</b></div><div>I think this is fair. Perreault's value runs far deeper than his production. I've just seen a bunch of WPG people saying they want him gone. If he is a versitile player, I'm sure a team could use him, but we've got way to many forwards so we don't really need him.

Ehlers to Van
Sorry but future captain Bo Horvat is untradeable.
Honestly, I don't think we have the assets to get Ehlers unless you want 10th overall or a prospect like Dipietro.
Best offer I can put together:
Tanev + Dipietro + Virtanen + 2nd round pick for Ehlers + Kulikov.
You guys get a shutdown top 4 dman, sorta injury prone but our whole team is so... A future starting goalie in Dipietro if Hellebuyck doesn't return to his peak, Virtanen who can skate and play both sides of the ice, and a nice second as a bow on top

If all we get back is a 3rd and a cap dump then we should just keep Tanev at the point

TOR fans - Would you do this UPDATED
I'd much rather keep Boeser and the two firsts. While Marner is amazing a great player, he scored at 1.14 ppg. He had tons of offensive options around him. Boeser played at 0.85 ppg. He did start off slowly at the beginning of this year because of his previous injury and did not have as much around offensive support around him. My point is, that Boeser can grow with a strong team around him, not to mention we could probably lock up Boeser long term at 8 million compared to Marner's probably 10-11 million. Let me make it clear Boeser is not as good of a player as Marner is, but is still a solid 1st line sniper. Not to mention 2 first round picks and Stetcher. Stetcher is underrated, as unless you watch games, you miss his compete level and how he can outplay people much bigger than him. The tenth overall pick could bring back a solid player like Newhook, Boldy, or Krebs which could also benefit us for years to come and the year after could aswell as who knows what happens witht this crazy draft lottery. Overall I think we would be overpaying for Marner, and Boeser as a sniper is much more useful to us than Marner's playmaking as we have Pettersson.

BLOCKBUSTER 3 WAY TRADE CAR TOR EDM
Carolina easily wins this trade getting two young fowards and picks back, and only has to give up a garbage goalie, a struggling prospect and a protected first
Toronto comes out about even, but doesn't have any motivation to do it, as it doesnt fix their cap problem nor do they need picks as they wanna win now.
Edmonton gives up a lot for nothing

The whole list is garbage. Check the Athletic's latest prospect report. Bouchard is 24 on that list which makes much more sense. Hughes, Necas, Tippett top 3 already makes much more sense.

If that's the best we can get for Tanev, I'd rather keep him to mentor our young dmen, or at least hope for a healthier season an then trade him.

Another Trade With Vancouver
I'd definately be happy with giving those players to you. But, you are just tossing us all your overage players. The only player with real value is Gilbert. We don't need the other three junk players. I think something like Gilbert and a 2nd would be more appropriate.

No real benefit for the Canucks. Sure we save a bit of money in the long run, but its probably not enough to accept this trade unless you add something.

Some changes in order to succeed - trades with MTL and VAN
Replace Montoya and Benning with Jones or a second, and we'll throw in Granlund and we'll accept. We don't need defensive or goaltending depth, and I think adding a middle 6 forward could help you guys.
