I agree Hanafin >= Hronek but the RHD tax might come into effect and BC taxes are crazy so I think Hronek gets 7.75ish a little below Hughes

The rumour was Oil offered 1st and Ceci to the Flames for Tanev so I assume the Oilers would offer something similar for Roy if he was available I think he is very under appreciated

Peterson's contract is shorter so the oilers could just buy him out next off-season or keep him in the AHL next year so his contract expires. When Petersons' contract expires is when Drai's expires as well so they will need all the cap space then. The only way the Oilers can dump soup at this point is by taking a bad contract back.

Vancouver is not in the Rocky Mountain region it's a coastal city. The North Shore mountains are not the Rockies and Hill is from Comox on Vancouver Island. I don't think there are enough players born in that area to make an NHL team.

Oilers do have a lot of solid RW prospects Petrov, Beryozkin, and Tullio none will be all-stars but I do think Petrov will be a good top 6er. RHD your choices are Akey (IMO the highest upside Oilers prospect) a great skating d man and offensive guy and Wanner a big defensive d man. The only good goalie prospect is Rodrigue who is currently doing very well in the AHL. Oilers are in win now so I'd assume all of these guys are on the table also would the sharks have any interest in Broberg? I do think there's still potential but the clock is ticking and there's a LHD jam for the Oilers.

I would do that do trade in a heartbeat to dump soup. I legit think his contract is unmovable but he would be the ultimate tank commander for the sharks. Though I would rather trade another pick or different prospect plus pick instead of Borgault as next year the oilers will need cheap right shot wingers to play top 9 roles and he should be ready by then. But trading him wouldn't be a deal breaker to dump soup.

What is that Ullmark contract? Every goalie wants term who was the last big ufa goalie to take a one-year deal? The only one I can think of is Lehner but every other ufa goalie signs for 3+ years.

In a perfect world, Klefbom doesn't get a career-ending injury that forces Nurse to play top pair mins and Nurse signs for like 6-7 million instead. And sign Kuemper instead of Campbell in the 22 off season.

Locking up a retention spot for 4 more years for a 3rd isn't worth it especially if you're already using one for Ullmark. As an Oilers fan I wouldn't trade anything for Campbell at 1.25x4 his skating is terrible and he's always way too deep in his net plus it ends when he's 35. Oilers are probably buying him out at the end of this year or the next.
