I'm a BeLeafer
I don't think they are top 30 D man. Reilly possibly is but certainly not Gardiner.

Getting Draisaitl
These trades don't resemble anything close to fair value. Why would MTL take on Franzen and Abdelkader? Also you'll need to give up a lot more to pry Nurse and Draisaitl away from EDM, Doubt Florida is gonna move Bjugstad for a few spare parts

Team Canada 2022
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>theturnaround</b></div><div>how you gunna have 6 RHD. if babcock is coaching he will legitimately kill himself</div></div>
Completely agree with that. It was frustrating me as I was creating this roster. I'm just not sure who can make the roster as a LHD, I probably could have included Muzzin over Parayko. Perhaps young guys like Chabot, Morrisey, or Chychrun take big strides in the next few years and find themselves in contention for spots, mainly due to the left handed shot factor

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>Barzal also played behind one of the best centers in the NHL, not seeing a lot of top tier D coming over the boards to try to shut him down. We'll see how he plays without Tavares. Furthermore, he played in a system where he barely had to glance in the general direction of his defensive end. He has offensive talent, but I don't think there will ever be a point in his career where he's ahead of stamkos on team canada while Stamkos is still playing.</div></div>
Yeah Barzal was a bit sheltered this year but he still put up over a point per game at 20 years old. He could experience some slumps this year but by the time 2022 rolls around I think he will be accustomed to playing against a teams top D man

Team Canada 2022
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MG1986</b></div><div>Where is Patrice Bergeron. You know their #1 line will be Crosby-Marchand-Bergeron. As well, Toews will be on this team if the NHL is going to the 2022 Olympics. I liked the dynamic of Point-Marner-Konechy at the 2017 World Championships. Perhaps you replace Konechy with Hall? If Weber is healthy, I'd expect that he'd be on this team as well, even if he's there 6th D.</div></div>
I do agree with the Marchand-Crosby-Bergeron dynamic and that could factor into the selection of Bergeron, I was speculating that his injuries could pile up and potentially slow him down. I don't see Konecny on the team over Hall, especially if Hall continues to build on this past season. I like Weber but I feel that his overall speed has decreased and he may not be fast enough on the Olympic ice, but his current speed decline could just be the product of his recent injuries.

Currently maybe not. But by 2022 I think Barzal will be a better player than Stamkos

Think about it Montreal
At least make it reasonable. 3 players who will likely never be NHL regulars? You would have to include somebody with some value to even get Bergevin to listen. Especially if he is going to trade a pure goal scorer to MTL's biggest rival

Realistic Pacioretty Trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Club_de_Hockey_le_Canadien</b></div><div>The Canadiens need an established top NHL center to guide the prospects to a great career. All of the trades except LAK and DAL do that. There is not a big need for a center but if you have a player with good value and a (small) need for centers, why not? What would you trade him for?</div></div>
I agree with the established NHL center to guide the prospects. Honestly that part kind of slipped my mind. I am hesitant to acquire an established center at the possibility of finishing higher in the standings. I don't think Bergevin will get anything close to what we consider fair value but I think the prospect system could use some offensively inclined wingers (which could be the 2019 draft focus)

Sens Rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>minervabone</b></div><div>In your description you said that the team needs to remain somewhat competitive. I'm not sure how you can be competitive with JG (who I love as a player) is your 1st line center and Dzingel who I never saw play center in the NHL is your 2nd line center.</div></div>
I think staying competitive means taking on the contracts of Tatar and Callahan who are legit NHL players instead of those spots being filled by unready prospects or AHL caliber players. The ultimate goal for the sens has to be to pick lower than 4th.

Realistic Pacioretty Trades
I think M.B has really hurt Pacioretty's value and I'm not sure whether there is a big need for a center anymore. Kotkaniemi and Poelhing are likely 1 year away from NHL duty and Danault will serve as the top center as MTL likely will contend for another lottery pick in 2019 and potentially the 2020 draft.
