Actually no it likely doesn't. If Matty won't sign long term as part of the trade the value going back to Calgary will plummet.

STL accepts. Good value going both ways. Nice to see some more realistic trades showing up here.

Fine by me, not willing to sacrifice 3 significant future pieces for 1. Even if he is slightly better than each of them individually.

That's just plain wrong. We WANT Tkachuk, we do not NEED to get him. It certainly will not take that much, and if it does, the Blues should hold off and take the gamble that he joins as a UFA in the future.

Blues say no. If Kyrou is involved, they wouldn't have to add much more for fair value, certainly not Bolduc and a first.

Finally something somewhat realistic. However, I do think the Blues would sweeten the deal a bit without adding any other major pieces.

Tkachuk Trade
While I highly doubt Buch will be part of the deal, this is still one of the more realistic trades I've seen. I think Neighbours, being from the Calgary area is a nice centerpiece for the trade.
Probably will need to facilitate a three way trade where Tarasenko goes somewhere else for this to work cap-wise.

God the idiocy on this site is laughable. You would have to put a gun to Lou's head to even give the Isles a chance of sending that much back for Tarasenko.

Realistic?? LOL in what world pal.
Way too much of the Blues future included in that deal. Calgary doesn't have as much leverage as most seem to think. ONE of Neighbours Bolduc, plus a position player and some bundle of high picks should be enough.

This is false. Blues have a lot of cap coming off the books next season. And Kyrou is still signed for relatively cheap for this year. If we can move Tarasenko and Scandella that's enough right there for Tkatchuk.
Moving forward, Blues would likely have to trade or let Barbashev walk, and maybe even consider moving Saad or Krug in order to lock down Kyrou next year (should they also get Tkatchuk).

Tkachuk
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Azz_Aidz</b></div><div>Him and Thomas should be the only untouchables they have imo. Anything else I'm probably willing to trade for Tkachuk. People might think I'm crazy, but I think Kyrou has more offensive upside than Tkachuk. Would be cheaper to keep around, Better skater, better shot, similar hands, similar offensive IQ. Less nhl time, less pp time, less 5v5 time with top players. Didn't play all of that time with a superstar in Gaudreau this past season. Tkachuk is undoubtedly more established, has a lot of intangibles and is better defensively but it seems crazy to trade our fastest skating, skilled, scoring winger for Tkachuk in a hard cap league trending towards speed. The amount of roster manipulation, turnover and other young assets it may take to get Tkachuk and keep him around is scary to me.</div></div>
Agreed. We have to find a way to get this done without including Thomas or Kyrou. Its a tough pill to swallow but I think Neighbours, a first, a second, tarasenko and another mid level prospect and maybe Barbashev or some similar combo might be enough. Especially when you consider that the Blues could take a gamble and wait a year just to sign Tkatchuk as a UFA.

2 year window - last pieces
Some thoughts:
1. I think Gibson is a better and more realistic trade target. WPG would not make that trade (at least with that retained salary and without them committing to a full rebuild yet).
2. I like bringing Domi home, but I doubt he signs that low. Definitely less than his last contract, but more likely around $3.5M area if there's term attached. 2-4 years would probably command closer to $4M.
3. Caps don't take that trade and Muzzy has a full no trade.
4. Good signings of Sandin and Engvall. If the Leafs bring both back that should be around what they get.

I like where your head is at overall, just wondering if some of these deals can get done with those proposed numbers/assets.
I like the Chychrun trade, but not sure if ARZ would accept... might take a little bit more.
I really like the MAF signing, if he'd be willing to take that AAV. Also think Scotty P and Mikkola command a bit higher prices, albeit not by much.
Perron is a tough one to predict, but I do think he'll be around $5M.
Also where's Kostin? Even if we have no plans for him, we could re-sign and flip him for a mid-late pick.

No need to buyout Scandelly, the cap savings are more valuable than the picks it would take to move him. Also, I don't love the Vova trade, the team is better with him on it.
Also, it will definitely take some more to pry Chychrun from AZ. Especially cuz there is no shortage of suitors.

Vova needs to stay a blue for life. I don't hate the intention of the trade, but would prefer if Vova isn't part of it. If Philly is close to entering a full blown rebuild, then Barbie a mid-tier prospect and a bundle of mid-level picks SHOULD get it done for Sanheim. And, just exclude Frost.

Yeah I don't think so. https://theathletic.com/3363082/2022/06/15/blues-free-agents-perron-husso/
I'd put a lot of money on him getting at the minimum a $250,000 raise from his previous contract. Put more likely he gets $5M+

Read the below article. Perron's market value is around $8M given his play over the past few seasons. If he hits FA, he'll get around $6M per year. Just zero chance he takes 3.5M lol idc how much he loves the city.
