Cmon guys, Gudbranson is obviously the best defenceman in the league, even better than Makar

It’s so surprising that the Stanley Cup winning goaltender got less that 6 Million.

Washington has been Kuemper's expected landing spot for a while, and it's a good deal! The term feels just a little too long but that solid AAV makes up for it. Excited to see how Kuemper does with the Caps.

I don't think you're wrong but it's going to be difficult for one side to second guess themselves on this deal. mostly surprised the deals were so close in term/AAV, thought Kuemper would clear $6M easy.

woof, surprised at that AAV. Gonna be fascinating comparing how his and Campbell's contracts play out, feels like this kind of ties them together in a way.

I was expected him to be paid more. Not a lot more, but closer to $6 million.
Age is an issue, but I will still call this a win.

tbh Kuemper-Samsonov would have made a serviceable tandem had they wanted to do that, but no, they decided to let Sammy walk.

Cernak is underratedly important to Tampa. Top tier shutdown defender. Plays the hardest comp every night and crushes. 5 mil for that is perfectly reasonable. He's only 25 so the term isn't crazy

When he scores 30G I will apologize haha. He scored 15G in the past 2 seasons combined. I think he's good for 15-20 with VAN.
