Someone is subbing for Barron who will it be
It will be Gustafsson. Definitely not someone from the Moose, after Gus you have Perfetti, Kupari, etc.

Sit out regulars against VAN
The Moose callups depend on how they are doing re: home ice advantage. Brossoit is already confirmed to start.
I think Lowry & Monahan are for sure going to sit, they have consistently took the option for morning skates. Ehlers will play because he wants to play a full 82, already told the media how much it would mean to him.

I think you can get Raymond for slightly less but it will probably cost more for Seider for 8 years.

Jets have a ton of forward depth and quite a few wing prospects, don't see them doing that at all for that reason

(NJD/WPG) - Toffoli for 2025 2nd (WPG), 2024 3rd (WPG)
The more we learned about this trade, the happier I got as a Jets fan. I was thrilled with the 2nd + 3rd, but when the 50% retention came out about 30 minutes later, I was ecstatic

(TOR/CAR) - 2026 6th (TOR) for Webber
I like the trade for Carolina because they get an asset for someone who they weren't going to sign. At 23 Webber doesn't have a lot of developing left unless he's a real late bloomer, but he could still become a depth player for the Leafs and they avoid having to compete for his rights with other teams this way

Vancouver Canucks signed Elias Pettersson (8 Years / $11,600,000 AAV)
Moral of the story: if you have a Swedish superstar, leak that you're considering trading him to a team full of Finns and he'll run to the negotiating table :awesome

No a 4th is the going rate (see Ryan O'Reilly to TOR and David Savard to TBL trades). ARZ got a 3rd for retaining 50% on Kane

Calgary were never getting a 1st but I dunno, maybe they could have pushed harder for a better prospect than Grushnikov (whose ceiling is as a #6 D it seems). But I get the thinking of replacing Tanev with a defensive defenceman prospect

The Rangers are 7th in the league currently based on point %, meaning they are 7th last in the waiver wire. Waivers are based off of reverse standings

I cannot see Chevy doing that at all. I'm not really convinced Winnipeg makes sense for Chychrun anyways, unless he can 100% play RD. I think the Jets are trying to get DeMelo+Dillon re-signed and if they do that, they can't make Chychrun fit anyways.

Can Chychrun play RD? The Jets need a RD unless they plan on letting Dillon walk and replacing him with Chychrun (not something I see Chevy doing even if Dillon walks)

I'd happily trade Lucius, he gets injured in a stiff breeze. In fact I think he's getting close to untradeable soon if he can't stay healthy.

(ANA/PHI) - Drysdale, 2025 2nd (ANA) for Gauthier
Apparently he didn't want to play for the Flyers and ghosted Flyers staff at the world juniors. I would be LIVID if I was the Flyers, even if this trade works out they essentially threw away a top 5 pick. At the same time, you have to ask: did they not ask him about this before they drafted him? Shouldn't this be the first question you ask him

He was on an AHL deal with WB/S. I assume he either a) earned a two-way contract with a better salary or b) Pittsburgh signed him to stop another NHL team offering him a contract

In all seriousness, I would so this trade but this organization will refuse to give up on him (traded up to select him). Probably doesn't do it for Chevy but again, that's not on you/your proposal mores on the fact that they refuse to not give him chance after chance

Either way, I really feel for the kid. Seems quite resilient though, so I'm sure we see him back sooner than later.</div></div>
Yes, he'll be on the roster (IR) if he's hurt. You can't send someone to the AHL if they're hurt even if it's preseason. Really feel for him too.
