He is a high energy player that really affects the Pens line up when he is out. I would rather trade Hagelin and someone else than get rid of Horny</div></div>
He's barely noticeable away from Crosby so if they keep Sid and the kids together I just don't see a role for him on the team. I also want no part of his next contract and think Hagelin is less one dimensional/more of an asset on the forecheck and defensively.</div></div>

Haglelin had 2 goals in the playoffs ... Hornqvist scored at the same pace in the playoffs as he did in the regular season. Did he play with Crosby through out the playoffs? He scored key goals at key moments, leads the team in checks (and no Kunitz), provides net front (and no Kunitz), and upsets the other teams defenders which opens up room for his team, and draws penalties. His next contract could be exactly the same if he chooses to stay for 3-4yrs ... but you trade him and that's the end and have no one to replace net front which might mark a decent drop in PP production. Which is why I like Adam Lowry for 3C and net front on the PP. Hagelin is great on the PK, but so is Rust, Rowney, Wilson, and Cullen if he comes back. NHopkins is not.

You're worried about versatility then why go after RNH? He's poor mans scoring center who was a 1st overall so most people know his name. He's not a strong 2 way center. He's a down grade from Bonino in that respect. His face offs are terrible and he's not a sacrifice yourself for the team kind of guy, and at money you'd be willing to see him sacrificing himself at. $5m is to much to pay for him to not be great on the PK, in the face off circle, etc. He's going to score what bonino did(which is about what he did last season - 43pts) because the talent he's going to play with is not up to his level.

I know everyone wants a potential all-star, but the Pens just need a solid 2 way hockey player who PKs and wins face offs and doesn't break the bank or weaken you're team in other areas.
