If isles were willing to play ball I’d definitely make a deal around Perfetti and Salomonsson, would work good for both teams I think.

We just watched what happened to Ville, you really want to chance it with another prospect that likely gets misused again?
I’d rather add impact players to help us win now, while our window is open.

Jets aren’t going to carry 8 D for long. Chevy spoke about it today. Likely that Stanley gets moved in a deal like this.
Tanev is a perfect add imo.

In a heartbeat. Lucius is a prospect with promise, who’s been crushed by injuries. Stanley is basically your new big Z, and the 2nd is always nice.

Whats the cost
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Henrique averages 17 and a quarter minutes per game, which would be third behind Scheifele and Connor on your team.
By the way, your earlier characterization of Henrique as "responsible defensively" is like saying Connor McDavid is "productive offensively." Henrique is one of the leading penalty killers on the Ducks, one of only two forwards with more than 40 games played who's plus on the season, and usually takes the first faceoff on the penalty kill because he's the best faceoff man Anaheim has.</div></div>
Stats back up the eye test that’s for sure.

Can he handle a full time load at C? The way Bowness uses his lines, he’d likely be seeing the other teams 3rd or 4th line in matchups.
He seems like he’d be a great fit between Connor and Perfetti.

Or is Salomonsson ranked a lot higher then Brzustewicz?
I wonder if the Flames valued Kuzmenko or if they were just willing to take him to facilitate the trade.</div></div>
I’d like to think Salo is valued much more than Bruz. But I can’t say that for certain.
I think CAL definitely has value in Kuz, but the $ had to get off of VANs books so likely became somewhat of a negative asset in that sense.
Equivalent package would be like:
Schmidt + Kupari + Lucius and a 1st.

Whats the cost
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mynameisliang_</b></div><div>I get what you're saying here, but the Jets really don't need to give up this much for Henrique.
Also, why do we want the guy playing 3C on the worst team in the league to come in and be our 2c? if the ask from Anaheim is like Montreal's 2nd and a B-tier prospect, sure. But I'm not overpaying for Henrique, Monahan, Dowd or any of the dime-a-dozen centres who are only marginally better than Namestnikov. If there aren't any difference makers left after the Lindholm move, then go out and get one of these guys so you don't have Dominic Toninato in your top-6 if someone gets hurt, but you don't need to overpay for them.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pavelisgoat</b></div><div>So what I’m saying is Wpg keeps Schmidt, Ana retains 50% on Henrique and Jets send their first and maybe a little sweetener the ducks way is what is fair for me</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jah1722</b></div><div>Most of us ducks fans would have been happy with a 2nd and a solid prospect for Henrique 50% retained at the TDL when the season started. After seeing that Lindholm return plus Henrique’s production, I hope Verbeek gets a 1st plus whatever the highest bidder is willing to add or a really good prospect filling a need.</div></div>
Perhaps I’m overvaluing Rico. I think he’s quite a solid player. Responsible defensively and would be a good fit between KC and Perfetti. Bowness uses the Lowry line more than the “2nd line anyways”.
If it could be done with Lucius and a 1st for Rico 50% retained I think you make that deal in a heartbeat.
It’s hard when a trade is made that truly sets the market. You can only use that to evaluate potential deals. Line sure, Montreal could trade Monahan for Kakko and a pick and the market changes, but for now this is what we have to go off of.

Why not call up lambert
Bowness spoke about them seeing Vilardi at C and how uncomfortable he looked compared to being on the wing. I don’t think they view him as a C.
Unless they give Perfetti another look, they should be buying a 2C. I agree it would’ve been a perfect time to call up Lambert. Give him a shot at 2C between Ehlers and Perfetti. They’re getting 3rd line TOI anyways so he’s sheltered from tough matchups.

JETS NEED LINDHOLM

Connor-Lindholm-Perfetti
Ehlers-Schiefele-Vilardi
When Connor was out, our top line was on fire as we all saw. Why put Connor on their line, that would mess up with what was working previously.
I do agree Lindholm has been terrible since Chucky and JG have left, but Connor could help him get better. Plus if Lindholm isn't putting enough effort, Bones could work on getting his game back and eventually we will get the Lindholm that we saw when Chucky and JG were still around.</div></div>
I think you’re highly optimistic to think that level of play could return. I hate that they split up 27-55-13. But Vladdy plays way better with 27 on his line, so until we find a 2C they might have to. My ideal target is Claude Giroux.

I mean man, if Philly was open to it, I’d be trying to do whatever I could to get Coots. Jets need a long term solution at 2C. If Boone Jenner was available out of CBJ he’d be a great target too. They need someone who’s not a rental, but a younger guy with term.

Don’t think Savard is that much of an upgrade over what the jets currently have to justify paying that price.
I don’t hate acquiring lindholm, although the ask is high. I’d prefer to see them target a less talked about option. Chevy always pulls something out of left field.

Ehlers has always felt a bit in te outside with the the way the organization wants to play.
Sets them up well going forward!</div></div>
The fact that we’re arguing about a 2RW vs a top pairing RHD is wild.
I’d trade Ehlers for Pulock in a heartbeat. Iafallo, Connor, Scheifele, Vilardi, Perfetti and Nino can makeup the top six just fine.
Jets have a ton of boom or bust prospects that could end up as really good middle six wingers. If they really believe in being a draft and develop team, you take the chance.
