Trade with desperate teams
So, just some thoughts
1. RNH has more points than JVR, Fabbri and Simmonds combined this year. Plus Simmonds will certainly leave after this year as he is a UFA.
2. If you're going to make a trade to get rid a ton of forwards, why not bring in a defense? The St.Louis trade, why not make it for Parayko?
3. I don't disagree with bringing in Winger help, but I just don't think these are the wingers the Oilers want. The only one worth value right now is Perron but you have to wonder about his age.

Jesus Christ that defense is God awful. I hope the leafs would do something this stupid so the media would shut up and talk about the other 30 teams in the league.

Who says no in this trade
These are my two favorite NHL teams (Oilers-1, Jets -2). This is an interesting trade. The Jets could potentially use a #2 center if Little continues to slow down (although they have Roslovic who hasn't fully proven himself yet) and the Oilers could use a pure sniper to go along with McDavid the playmaker.
I do feel like you would need to sweeten the pot more on the Oilers side due to the 44 goals by Laine being hard to replace and Draistial put up a lot of points with McDavid and although he's shown signs of running his own line, he hasn't been able to do it consistently yet.
Very interesting though.

MTL offseason
To start, I am not a Montreal fan or an LA fan. I don't understand why an organization that is "kinda rebuilding" that has center depth issues would trade a promising young center prospect for a defense who will probably walk away after a year. If Muzzin resigns for a reasonable amount then it could make sense. I do worry he won't be as good without Doughty though. Just a thought.

Stone Panarin
To start this off, I am not a Rangers fan, and only watch them when they play the Oilers or Jets. But to me, that blue line is bad and the depth is bad. I don't see why the Rangers would want to spend 18 million when this team can't win. Just rebuild and stay away from free agency

This is the same team that traded a 25-30 goal scorer in Skinner for some garbage picks and Pu. Just saying

Trouba value
Wait a second.... You think Trouba is worth an underachieving prospect, a defenseman who has had one good season but is reaching 30 years old and a 4th rounder? I don't think so. Trouba is in his prime and is just getting better. Throw in a better prospect and then maybe it'll work.

If nurse isn't signed by camp...
I really like these moves. I do wonder if you are overpaying a little bit for Nylander. I do think he's the better of the two players but still seems high. Nurse had a good year last year and is still young enough to turn into a top 3 defender.
If Montreal were to take that deal though I'd be happy. They'd be banking on him having a bounce back season and they would have some leadership in their locker room to stand up for all the rookies they will be bringing in a couple of years.
Also, throw Kassian in the Carolina trade just to get rid of him. Sign some of the cheaper PTO and boom. Perfect team.
Good job, thought this was good.

Build up for Cup Now
This team would be deadly for one year, afterwards it would be an issue. You would have to resign Stone, Wheeler, Connor, Laine and maybe Myers. I just don't think that it's a good fit. You'd probably have to give up Wheeler for Stone which doesn't make sense. Also, where is Josh Morrissey? He'd also probably have at least 3 million for a bridge deal.

I wouldn't say that Larsson is worth nothing. He was playing with a rough defense core last year who were going through injuries and was still a +10. He doesn't score but he's great defensively.

Someone's gotta go
I'm okay with moving out Little and Perreault but this doesn't make a whole lot of sense. That center depth is just bad. If Scheifele ever got injured they'd be in a world of trouble. Not that I don't like Roslovic, but he's unproven and it may hurt his development. Same thing with the defense. I think the moves you've made makes it so you force young kids up and set them up for possible failure. Why not use that 5.5 in cap space and keep Trouba?

Based on the Skinner trade and the fact that Faulk is currently on their third line I think the Oilers can get him for less. Maybe Dmitri Samorukov,2nd and 3rd. That's something Carolina might do.

What the Sens WOULD do - Thoughts?
Now I have never seen the Sens play and am going purely on the fact that it shows Mark Stone as a RW. Winnipeg doesn't need another elite winger. They have Laine/Wheeler down the right side and Ehlers/Connor down the left. If I'm Winnipeg, I have more interest in Duchene/Dzingle than I do Stone. Just my thoughts.

*Please read every reply carefully (THE PART THAT I PUT IN BOLD IS THE PART YOU MISSED)</div></div>
I did read everything. But this trade never specified if they resign or not. BUT while we are on this topic, let's assume that Karlsson resigns. He still isn't worth Drai and a 1st. Draisaitl has had more points than Karlsson, playing second fiddle to McDavid, he is younger than Karlsson and can still get better. You are in theory trading away a #1 D for a #1 C. Sure Karlsson is better but not worth a first rounder on top of that.

So you're getting Duchene for Lucic + Bear + '20 3rd round pick...That's not gonna happens. Make it Yamamoto + Bear + '20 1st round pick (for the Duchene part of the deal) and this would be fait on both sides.</div></div>
So in total you think that Karlsson & Duchene are worth: Two 1st round picks, Draisaitl (#1 Centre), Yamamoto and Bear (easily two of their best prospects)? They could both walk at the end of the season and Duchene is a number 2 center now at best. The fact that Ottawa could get a number 1 center, a good prospect, a number 1 pick, a 3rd and a character guy could help them out.
I'm not saying that this trade is fair, sure the Oilers could sweeten the deal a little, but I think your trade might be a little much. Just my thoughts

This has to be one of the worst offensive groups I have seen. The first line is interesting and could be fun to watch but after boy does it fall off a cliff fast. Same with the defensive group. The fact that Mete is forced on the top line already is scary. Let's hope Carey Price plays like a god among men this year.

The main downside is both are UFA next year. So unless you resign them right then and there, no point in making those trades because they can both walk.
I also don't think you'll be able to pay them enough to make them stay and then stay within the cap room. I like the Bread man deal if they can pull it off though.
