I don’t see Keller or Cooley requesting trades, maybe Schmaltz— but who knows. I chose Crouse as the guy that does in this post. Someone likely will.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Haymaker26</b></div><div>Penguins accept, although I really doubt the Coyotes would make that offer unless Hayton tells them he won't play for them.</div></div>
Could add a pick coming back as well. I just don’t see a future for Hayton on this team.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hudsonfaschingisdad</b></div><div>Easy reject by the islanders</div></div>
I originally signed both Skjei and Montour but didn’t find that realistic. So I went for a trade. With Dobson needing a contract after next season I thought maybe that could make NYI entertain offers on Pulock.

If NSH doesn’t see a future with Tomasino, I could see this working. Feels like a slight overpay honestly. A 1 for 1 for RHD or C in a similar situation makes the most sense imo. But ultimately just want the most value they can get if they put him on the block.

Kinda the exact player NSH needs— a big, young center with high potential. I have a hard time believing NSH trades Askarov, even with the 2023 draft rumors, but this is tough to pass up given they have Saros.

I like the blue jersey in the link above as an option for a 3rd jersey. Ever since the winter classic designs came out, I’ve thought the walking saber-toothed tiger logo with the Nashville word mark would be a cool option for a jersey.

I’m sorry i hurt your feelings, but if u don’t want criticism then maybe post about teams u know more about- or just don’t post at all, bc ppl will comment on what they think you’re wrong about</div></div>
I don’t mind criticism. I like it; you learn from it, and I’m always happy to learn more about teams/players. It’s just better when there is something actually behind it other than just lazy jeering.
You’re acting like no one can have an opinion on your team other than you and BUF fans. This site is about having fun and trying new things and seeing where teams could go in the future. The fact that it’s a different opinion than yours is a good thing. Discussion is a good thing. The issue here is that you just didn’t bother including anything productive in your posts, and I called you out.
I’m not going to bother with this anymore as it’s not doing anything for either of us. I just hope in the future that you offer insights into your team to other people on here as opposed to just lazy jeering. Most of us on here are just looking to have fun and learn more about teams/players.
All the best.

I literally responded to a comment saying that I could rework it to keep Samuelsson as another commenter didn’t like the deal— and gave my reasoning for the initial deal and longterm view of Samuelsson on the team. I’m not beholden to any view here and am open to changing my mind.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tjm220</b></div><div>I don’t love the Jokiharju trade here, but the bigger travesty is just giving away Samuelsson for nothing.</div></div>
He’ll get less than the two 2nds Toews got, so I went with two 3rds. If he gets more, great. Just moving his cap as he’s not really needed once Demelo, who is better, is added, and they don’t need to spend that kind of money on the 3rd pair. Also opens a spot for Johnson.
I explained my reasoning for moving Jokiharju in a previous comment. I just think Power - Dahlin, Byram - Demelo is significantly better than what it would be with Jokiharju. And they add a guy that would help their PK and contribute offensively while also bringing playoff experience to a team that severely lacks it.

I made this as a NSH fan, so take this with a grain of salt.
They have Clifton signed long-term, and they have one of Dahlin/Power/Byram to play RD on another pair. I think BUF could use a better defensive RHD for the 2nd pair, so insert Demelo. And then trade Jokiharju for a versatile forward that has playoff/cup experience for a young team. Getting rid of Jokiharju allows them to improve two positions at once. Jokiharju hasn’t excelled either offensively or defensively imo— kinda the mushy middle. Still has potential to be that number 4 guy though. He seems expendable given his contract status as well.

Seattle
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakenTheCode</b></div><div>Honestly I don't see how this trade makes sense for either side. Florida's right in the middle of their cup window, and Ekblad's a crucial piece of that, so I don't know why they'd consider moving him. Seattle's competitive timeline is farther out in the future, so trading for a rental defenseman doesn't really add up for them either. Not to mention, the Kraken have a good defensive group already but have a need for more scoring up front. Trading one of their top scorers for a blueliner, even one as good as Ekblad, would be counterproductive.</div></div>
FLA gets rid of a guy that is oft-injured with a high cap hit. This allows them to re-sign other guys and add a 20-goal guy that could be a 30-goal guy in the FLA top 6 imo + recouping some picks lost via trades the last few seasons.
SEA adds a top pairing defenseman that would solidify their d-core. They add Stephenson via FA as well who only had 8 less goals than Bjorkstrand over the past two seasons— and Ekblad had 18 over that time period. So they’re technically adding more goals with these moves.
That’s the basic premise. I just FLA should consider moving Ekblad and that Bjorkstrand is an interesting option for them.

If Saros comes with an extension, gotta think NSH would be looking at the 2024 1st instead of 2025. But that may change the structure of your proposed deal more than just swapping those picks.
