Could add a pick coming back as well. I just don’t see a future for Hayton on this team.
I originally signed both Skjei and Montour but didn’t find that realistic. So I went for a trade. With Dobson needing a contract after next season I thought maybe that could make NYI entertain offers on Pulock.</div></div>
Keller seemed pretty fed up in his last two interveiws

Penguins accept, although I really doubt the Coyotes would make that offer unless Hayton tells them he won't play for them.

Semi-realistic offseason
NSH declines. NSH doesn't need a bottom pair RD, they have plenty of players who can fill that spot. NSH biggest need is a top pairing RD to consistently play with Josi

A major gross overpay for Filip Hronek.
And Patrik Laine has missed nearly 200 games in the past 5 seasons, His value is pretty small right now.

I think that's too much for Hronek, but NSH isn't the right team for him anyway. Why spend whatever assets to acquire him plus whatever his new contract will be, when you already have an elite offensive defenseman in Josi?
No thanks on Laine.
Wood just transferred to a new college. He's not turning pro just yet.

A Ferrari with no engine maybe? I like laine and wish all the best for him but his head is not in the game I truely don’t think he even cares that much about hockey anymore.
I think between playing for 2 poor franchise like Columbus and Winnipeg and then after all the stuff torts put him through I don’t think he has the will or drive anymore

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>I don’t mind criticism. I like it; you learn from it, and I’m always happy to learn more about teams/players. It’s just better when there is something actually behind it other than just lazy jeering.
You’re acting like no one can have an opinion on your team other than you and BUF fans. This site is about having fun and trying new things and seeing where teams could go in the future. The fact that it’s a different opinion than yours is a good thing. Discussion is a good thing. The issue here is that you just didn’t bother including anything productive in your posts, and I called you out.
I’m not going to bother with this anymore as it’s not doing anything for either of us. I just hope in the future that you offer insights into your team to other people on here as opposed to just lazy jeering. Most of us on here are just looking to have fun and learn more about teams/players.
All the best.</div></div>

taking suggestions for NSHs next 3rd jersey in the comments
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>https://www.icethetics.com/concepts/exploration-in-nashville
I like the blue jersey in the link above as an option for a 3rd jersey. Ever since the winter classic designs came out, I’ve thought the walking saber-toothed tiger logo with the Nashville word mark would be a cool option for a jersey.</div></div>
I love that logo. Not a huge fan of the sleeve stripes with the numbers inside them on that mockup, but the rest of it is good.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nativewulf</b></div><div>We need a serious navy alternate. I don't know why it hasn't happened yet. Every fan I've talked too about it loves the silver, white and navy jerseys from the 2011-2012 season. I know Gold is our calling card, but switching to Navy and Silver for alternates occasionally would be fun</div></div>
I think the best way to give the fans the navy jersey they want, but maintain the gold identity is to pair a navy 3rd with gold pants and helmets. U of Minnesota does this with a white jersey, and it looks great. I think it could work with the Preds' colour scheme too.

Devils fans crack me up thinking top starting goalies can be had for a pile of spare parts and minor league players. Everyone knows they need a goalie the good ones won't be cheap.

Sam Bennett and Juuse Saros
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>Can still be discussed and agreed upon prior to the trade. That’s not abnormal.
Why would the main piece be a goalie? Doesn’t make sense for NSH in a Saros deal when they already have Askarov.</div></div>
They can discuss and agree to extension. But there is little evidence that “with extension” changes the price a whole lot. There is one market, top bidder wins. And if some teams feel like they can extend, they may increase their bid.
It doesn’t have to be a goalie. We have plenty of prospects to chose from.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>He’ll get less than the two 2nds Toews got, so I went with two 3rds. If he gets more, great. Just moving his cap as he’s not really needed once Demelo, who is better, is added, and they don’t need to spend that kind of money on the 3rd pair. Also opens a spot for Johnson.
I explained my reasoning for moving Jokiharju in a previous comment. I just think Power - Dahlin, Byram - Demelo is significantly better than what it would be with Jokiharju. And they add a guy that would help their PK and contribute offensively while also bringing playoff experience to a team that severely lacks it.</div></div>
If that’s all they can get for Samuelsson they should just hang onto him. That’s a terrible return for a young top 4 defender on most teams with a long term deal.

Only gripe - Mercer ought to get a 2/3-year bridge or a long-term deal. A four-year contract walks him straight to UFA.

Sell me on Joseph. Because the Flames will have a bunch of D-men fighting for the 4–7 spots: Miromanov, Kylington, Pachal, Hanley, Solovyov, Poirieir, Kuznetsov Grushnikov, and Okhotiuk. They all require waivers except Kuznetsov, Grushnikov, and Poirier.
With an outside shot that one of Brzustewicz, Jurmo, or Morin pops in training camp.
