Vaakaninen 1st rd pick 21 years old
Debrusk1st rd pick 24 years old
Beecher 1st rd pick 19 years old
Grzelcyk Top 4 D man under contract 27 years old
1st rd pick.
Vladar 23 year old solid goalie prospect.
It is literally all picks and prospects with the exception of a guy almost as good as Eckholm.</div></div>
NSH has Saros, Ingram, and Askarov so they have no need or want for Vladar -- he adds no value.
The whole point of an Ekholm trade would be to get prospects/picks, not another defenseman that will need expansion draft protection -- so Grz isn't the right piec for NSH.
Debrusk + Vaak are nice pieces, but if those are the big pieces in a Forsberg <em>and</em> Ekholm trade (<em>and</em> Haula retained too), then that's a really poor trade by Poile. I'm not that high on Beecher.
That 1st rounder will be a late one if this team is able to add players like Forsberg and Ekholm.
Ultimately, this just isn't enough and not the right pieces for NSH.
I think the basic structure of a trade for the NSH players you're targeting would be more in line with...
Forsberg --> 1st + 3rd + A prospect (could even consider another add, he'll be expensive)
Ekholm --> 1st + B prospect + C prospect
Haula retained, emphasis on <em>retained</em> --> 2nd -- otherwise, a 3rd.

At this point I am not sure Edmonton fans know what defensive hockey means anymore.

Dumb trades are easy, and dumb comments are easy as well.
Hockey is full of nicknames, and Torts knows this as well as anyone, but try proofreading your comment before correcting others.
Ottawa doesn't need Torts, they have Bab's jr.

I think it's pretty obvious Leafs need some physicality and Bennett can bring that. 21 hits in 10 GP this year for Bennett and 3 in 9 for Dermott. Dubas should be on the phone.</div></div>
Win total in last 3 games:
Toronto - 3
Vancouver - 0
Last time I checked wins count in the standings and hits don't

Wanted them to still be on ELC and in the NHL right now. Was going to be Hischer instead of Holtz but then I’d have to put Chabot instead of Branstrom.

Top 7 Players Per Position - Canadian Division

This is based on this season so far and it's safe to say that McDavid, Draisaitl and Scheifele have had better starts to the season.</div></div>
Because points, Draisaitl has scored the majority of his points with McDavid. They also have a losing record. Schiefele is a good player sure but Matthews is definitely better. Just basing is off points is just silly.

whos Seattle taking
SEA will take Weber if you expose him... It's not like he's disappointed expectations, he's been roughly on the same point production his whole career. They'd immediately cement their veteran presence and captaincy. Also, cap won't be an issue for SEA upon entry. I think people are overthinking his salary. The term is not ideal (that's NSH's problem), but 7.8M is not that bad. I feel like people think 5M+ is considered a lot, without considering the exponential factor of higher salary. There's a hell of a difference between say Weber's cap hit and Doughty's cap hit at 11M. You totally draft Weber, even if you think he'll regress after one season.
I'd agree Evans is currently playing his way to protection. But then, I would think Lehkonen would become the most attractive pick for SEA

Weber gets taken imo if available. He would be their captain and face of their franchise immediately plus his play hasn't even declined yet. Montreal will not expose him. Expect Allen, Chariot, Edmundson or Mete to be taken

Hockey Trades - Calgary amp NJ
No way Calgary is going to do that trade. Would not even do just Hanifin let alone throw in Pelletier. Boston won't trade Vaak, lose another young D in expansion draft and have Palmieri leave as a free agent and wind up with nothing from the trade.

Hilarious, I haven't even looked at his stats, just the eye test for 5 games. Love what he is doing so far, his skating looks better than it has and he looks quieter and safer on the back end.
