Not gonna happen - Shattenkirk
Dumba is the least likely to go somewhere the Wilds System is loaded with left shot D, Dumba is the 2nd best right shot d we have in the whole organization. Scandella or Brodin will be the one gone after this season. Olfsson or Reilly will be up and both are left handed shots. You don't trade a R shot powerplay dman who can play top 4 too hard to find.

You trade pominville because of the money he is making and it opens up a spot for the wild to save a player in the expansion draft. West playoffs are hard Iginla gives you physical guy who will lay it on the line every night for his teammates if pominville doesn't score he's useless. Tuch has the ability to play 1-4 with his size and make up of his game by getting iginla you can give tuch 3rd line role or you give Gabriel, Schroeder a chance but you need a center at deadline to make sure coyle plays wing.

Long term success
First of all Fluery and Dubnyk don't have similar ability. Fluery is a much better goalie. Dubnyk's deal might go down as Fletcher's second or third worst deal ever to Leddy trade and Pominville deal. Getting Fluery allows you to not deal with an over priced goalie for another 4 years after this. Fluery only has two more years on his deal after this which allows for kuemper to come back and by that time hopefully be ready to become starter when fluery leaves. Pominville has to get of your roster.

The Laich trade would be a big thank you for both teams. Leafs don't need him and Wild need 4th line veteran experience. Kuemper and Zucker are gone after this year because you have to many RFA's coming this summer that mean more to the franchise than them and also you could lose them in the franchise draft (Zucker is a Vegas kid, would bring a big buzz to the organization) so get something in return for them now.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wabit</b></div><div><i>#27 overall for Granny, Folin, and a 3rd? Granny with his play in the Playoffs and Worlds is high value right now. No thanks.
Take away the Wash trade and Demers signing and roster looks good:
Parise/Hayes/OK
Granny/Koivu/Coyle
Ellers/Haula/Nino
4th line pickem' for Dalpe/Carter/Schrodeer/Porter/Gabriel/Random pickup
Suter/Spurgeon
Brodin/Dumba
Reilly/Folin/Prosser</i></div></div>
You can't win the cup with either Folin or Prosser as your 6 and 7 You have to pick one and upgrade. You trade Folin because he's an rfa and other top prospects and players that will have big asking prices are next year. You need 6 to win a cup demers gives you that. You have to give up a third to the capitals because if you don't they don't pick until the 4th round and they won't want that they will want to try to find a way to get back into the 2nd which they can do with a 3rd from us and their 4th round this year because they have two 5th round picks this year.

You won't have to retain any of Vaneks contract because either a team at the bottom takes the whole thing or you eat 1.5 mill this year and 2.5 the next out of 6.5 either way he's gone. The biggest contract to dump is Pominville. Wabit you say Edmonton need right d well we do two are best two prospects back there left shot dmen and half the league are looking for rhd.

If you're giving up Trouba they should go after 3rd overall pick to put both finnish guys on the same team and same line. It could happen if I'm Columbus I would for sure do that their dcore would: Jones, Trouba, Murray, Welenski down the road.

If you get Bjugstad and Hayes that allows for Granlund and Coyle to play wing
lines I would like:
Parise/Bjugstad/Coyle
Granlund/Koivu/Nino
Zucker/Hayes/Pommer
Fontaine/Haula/Brodziak

Would rather use that money and put it towards Kyle or Frans. Islanders don't need picks either. They need bodies that can play now.</i></div></div>
If Wild have to they keep some of that contract for Islanders but with you losing Okposo you can afford to keep it all. Frans might be out the price range because I can see a team giving him a dumb contract in terms of money. You can always use that pick to get someone and also you have a true #1 center who made Matt Moulson look like a super star he can help Pominville put up some numbers. Dumba takes the Hamonic spot and Zucker adds speed that might be lost with some of your free agents. Both forwards Probably better in the softer Eastern Conference where skill is more important than grit.

The Wild have Grit in the forward positions with Coyle, Nino, Gabriel, Parise, and Porter. What we don't have is just pure skill guy who can create a goal out of nothing this is why you get the big body center to play with gritty Parise and a 28 year skilled forward in Okposo who can score goals. Stoll you keep on because he is the second best draw guy you have, one of the best PK guys, and a great lockerroom guy which this team doesn't have. You can put Dalpe in if Stoll plays bad. Folin isn't getting it done he has slow boots and has had his chances but can't stay with the big team you can get something for him. Great he has grit but if you can get Hamonic you get a better player with grit also dumba has shown he can play with some grit and he will be a year older. If we keep Vanek that's fine but we have to get rid of Pominville. With the pay of Okposo and McGinn the market is going to be high on both of them 64 pts for Okposo and 41 pts for McGinn.

Brodin and Granlund would get you Draisaitl they need D and Granlund fills the second or third center position depends on where they want RNH. They need d bad. They would take Vanek year before he is a UFA because he still puts up points and is more important to the Wild than Pominville also Wild are keeping some of his contract.

It's a tough to swallow, but I can't watch another season of that D corp again.</i></div></div>
If the Bruins and Wild make a trade I'd rather see the wild force them to take on Pominville's contract and Brodin for Hayes, a first round pick, and one of the goalie prospects for backup role.

changes needed
It wouldn't be to little for Draisaitl if Edmonton gets the 2 or 3 pick where they will pick another forward and they will have McDavid and RNH as centers for first two lines, Brodin is a top 2 dman Prosser gives them depth at their weakest position, or you put Folin in their instead of Prosser. Hamonic I agree could move Dumba into that trade and go Granlund for van Riemsdyk straight up.
