<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>swinny</b></div><div>This isn't bad.... but a few critiques
1. Haula's injury history would have me shying away. Couple that with rumours of him not exactly being a locker room guy, I might look elsewhere. The atributes - his speed and defensive awareness however, they fit well.
2. Cole: love the signing, but I think he actually sees about $1.5 million. Guy is tough, plays a great stay at home game and is grossly underrated. Don't see him under a million, that is for sure; especially given that Staal re-upped in Detroit for $2 million.
3. I don't think the taxi squad will be back, so you are over cap.</div></div>
All good points. Just got them on the taxi squad to show them available to be called up. Engvall needs waivers but he probably squeak through. I'm just hoping for a sweet deal for Cole. Either way we need to add a veteran d man that can pk and preferably be able to play both sides.

If you want Severson it’s gonna cost 15th and Liljegren, and I still would turn it down. If you want us to retain it’s gonna cost you more. Although Pittsburgh overpaid, Kapanen just brought in a first and a prospect. Severson is worth more than that.</div></div>
I feel if the leafs offered the 15th and liljegren the devil's would be silly to turn it down. We could always move johnsson in a different deal. Don't need you to retain. But I guess it depends on what the devil's are looking for. If they would just want futures or do they want NHL help now

There is space to keep Anderson if we want. Arizona need to clear cap space so they could then flip Freddie for assets. Freddie is going to have good value because he is only owed 1 million real dollars but have a 5 mil cap hit. So good for teams trying to get to the floor and have money problems

What if we add liljegren? I feel like that would be on overpayment then so maybe drop the pick down a few rounds.

Wasn't really sure if the hawks are complete sellers or not. Maybe an extra d prospect back to the hawks would help or like you said switch Murphy out for Gus. I was just thinking the Canes would want someone to play the right said in pesce's place.

Yah I get that. It would be easy to say Nylander for parayko but the cap side of it wouldn't work for st Louis to resign Pietrangelo. Unless they are fine with letting him walk and rolling parayko as their #1 Rd. And if that's the case obviously they don't even think about moving him

My line of think was that they would move parayko to clear room for Pietrangelo plus they would be getting a top Rd prospect back. Sending them Nylander wouldn't create cap room for them

Yeah didn't think he would leave the hawks. Just kind of represents 1.5 mil for a back up

Leafs-canes-lightning trade
I know the value might not be perfect. Just an outline of a trade. Leafs get a Rd and deal from their strength. Canes get wingers and deal from their strength. Bolts clear cap space for next year and get a couple low cap hit options.
