No way, Kuzmenko clearly doesnt fit Tocchets playstyle and Hoglander does. Plus he is younger with more potienal while Kuzy is 27-28 on a expiring deal next year

None of these trades on here are happening, but a legitimate hockey trade being proposed on here is a rarity. Neither team wants to trade the players involved and this trade isn't likely to happen, but there's certainly more to consider here than the capfriendly special of "bunch of spare parts" for quality useful player.

If were going to gut our futures lets do it right
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AC14</b></div><div>Well the main thing was I wasn’t commenting on value. Value alone is subjective. Why are they trading him? Do they need to? I was simply putting that Buffalo probably shouldn’t be shelling out guys who are productive for futures with where they’re at. And they probably shouldn’t do so while getting softer.
I don’t follow Buffalo enough to know what their issue is. But I’d imagine it stems from the backend or goaltending. None of that addresses the issues at hand.</div></div>
Obviously none of these proposals are likely. They're made to feel out value and possibility. My point was that that haul is a fairly steep overpay for Tuch. If it were offered theyd have to take it. It never would be though. You're comment is worried about toughness when they're winning a trade by a mile. As for it not being exactly what they need you can move top prospects and 1st round picks for goalies and dmen every offseason and often even in season.

blow it up at the deadline
I think something like this is the best course of action for the blues. I wouldn't take Campbell back in a deal but the overall idea of this is correct IMO. Get some assets and capspace. Doesn't need to be a full year down rebuild but they need to turn the roster over a bit and this gives them the assets and space to do so.

Also, its worth noting that Gibson has faced the 2nd most shots and most high danger shots (and 3rd highest % of shots being HD).
So for comparison, compare two guys...
Player X: 0.926 Sv%
Player Y: 0.907 Sv%
Player X: 27 shots per 60.... 7 high-danger, 7 medium, 4 off rebound
Player Y: 35 shots-per-60...11 high-danger, 9 medium, 5 off rebound
That is 8 more shots, 4 more high-danger shots a night for Player Y...
If you flipped them, and they still saved a similar % of various shots, their save% would be
Player X: 0.916 Sv%
Player Y: 0.914 Sv%

I agree that he will become that, but he isn't there yet. If we are playing the waiting game, I'd rather pick whoever is there at 11oa, who will no doubt have higher upside than Barron. Moving the pick should be for a clear upgrade, and unfortunately this isn't that. The incentive simply isn't there.

I disagree. If we are offered a 3rd I'd still move him. I don't have much interest in Robertson but the 3rd is enough for me

I think a lot of this CAR vs NJD Meier talk is probably one side trying to raise the price on the other. There are likely other teams in play. (And I have my suspicions on which side is the culprit).
Also, are Johnsson and Kotkaniemi similar in value? I thought the latter was held in higher regard in Carolina.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac555</b></div><div>Despite what everyone wants to say - KK has been playing well since Jan 1st</div></div>
My thoughts on KK is essentially: he’s a 3C
If canes fans are saying he’s a 2C, then value is definitely off here. I do not watch every canes game, so outside of war charts and hockey DB it is tough for me to gauge KK value.
If canes don’t need to send any cap back, then 2nd plus Bokk or something is fine too with less retention
I would very happily increase the retention as much as 50% if it means landing a 1st or A prospect in a Boeser trade

Whenever someone posts about laughing and hanging up phones on this site, I always wonder if their parents know they're up past their bedtime...
This is a very reasonable offer for Demko, the guy has had a bad season because he was playing injured... he was top 5 in expected goals against last season. I'm not saying he's going to return a 1st and top prospect, but a 1st, B prospect and cap dump is very reasonable.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockeyfan1234</b></div><div>Whenever someone posts a terrible acgm I wonder if their parents know they are up past their bedtime…
This isn’t a reasonable offer. There is no reason any team pays that much for a goalie that is playing like garbage. You can make all the excuses you want, but facts are facts. He’s been bad this year. There’s plenty of goalies around the league on bad teams that have much better stats than Demko this year.</div></div>
It's all good my parents are aware I'm up past my bedtime.
If you you think this is a, 'first laugh at that offer and hang up" trade, why don't you make an ACGM for a PITT Vancouver Demko trade so we can all be informed as to whats reasonable, after all apparently the Pen's have been showing interest. Lets see how it is received.
