<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wagsnags</b></div><div>Thanks for taking the time to publish a team.

A few thoughts:

1. I am not sure what the Sabres accomplish by trading for Callahan..... the deal actually ends up costing you about 1,750,000 over the next over the next two years. Bogo has never been healthy while with the Sabres. I think you take a better risk/reward scenario by seeing if Bogo stays healthy on your 3rd pair. If he does he would fit nicely if he does not stay healthy you place him on LTIR and reap the cap relief;

2. IMO you do not need to acquire Neuvirth from Philly. The deal you should explore with Philly is trading the rights of Lehner &amp; if you include a 5th round pick you may be able to get a 2nd round pick or prospect from Philly. Ullmark is the #1 in 2018/2019. The Sabres need to sign a solid mentor for him (Ward, Bernier type);

3. Though I am not completely on the move ROR train I do like what you have proposed with SJS. I think that would be acceptable on both sides but my guess is if you have any SJS fans chirp in they will say they are giving up too much;

4. The Florida deal is not to my liking at all. You are taking on a 30 year old winger with a contract hit of $3.3 giving up a guy that the 'room' really likes at $1.6 that can play center and wing.... kills penalties and will do the dirty work. The 5th Round pick does not move the needle in my view;

5. I see Roussel as a similar player to Girgensons therefore if you do not make the deal with Florida you do not sign Roussel. Instead take the money you save in not doing the Florida deal $1.7 plus the Rouseel money of $2.7 which totals $4.4 and go sign yourself a center who can be your #2C. Mittelstadt needs to stay at the #3C next year for his development. Do not force the kid to be under the pressure of being the #2C;

6. I think you should consider CJ Smith for this team;

Thanks for the effort.</div></div>

Thanks so much for the reply. We may be able to see a better deal for Zemgus, I like him but he has been part of the losing culture since the beginning and just think he needs a fresh start. I wanted to originally include him in a deal for Chris Kreider I was working on, but I just don't think the prices will match for either side, and I'm not sure NYR will even trade him.

McGinn was just a depth move, still had 28 points and is on an expiring deal so I liked the idea of filling in some holes for the year, but I guess CJ Smith can be bumped into the 3rd line.

I do like the idea of Cam Ward here, just always been a Neuvirth fan so might show some bias there.
