Ultimately, I trust Jarry as a starter. People, including myself, are willing to move him because Ned will be cheaper, Blomqvist is as close to NHL ready as it gets, and moving Jarry will clear some cap while bringing in an asset.
I certainly wouldn’t mind moving Jarry for an asset rather than losing Ned for nothing, but I also wouldn’t mind heading into next year with Jarry and Blomqvist.
Yes, PIT would have to add to OP’s deal, but I don’t think that a return for Marner that is centered around Jarry is out of the realm of possibility.
I think with Jarry and Woll or even Woll and Nedeljkovic, the Leafs would be fine, but I just found it strange that he felt the need to sign both, maybe because he's worried that Woll will get injured but there's always Hidelby in the AHL and signing a 3rd string vet goalie would make more sense. If Jarry + a pick/prospect were to be the main return of a Marner trade though, the GM better be confident with him as a starter or to at the very least play in tandem with Woll.
Leafs biggest issue isn't goaltending, so I don't think they will trade Marner for a goalie unless maybe they are getting a Vezina calibre goalie since they always seem to go out to stronger goaltending but even then they would probably want other pieces to address their defensive needs.
If they sign one of the big-ticket UFA defenders, then I think the focus could shift to trying to get a mid/top 6 F + a starter/tandem goalie + some futures, but I don't think Pittsburgh has futures that they want to part with or a mid/top 6 F that they would move other than disgruntled Rielly Smith who is up there in age or Rakell who has a contract that the Leafs don't want to touch. Bunting could fit the bill perhaps but don't think the Pens would part with him. I would say there's a better chance that Karlsson be the centerpiece of a Marner trade if the Pens are willing to retain 1M.
TOR won't have leverage and will probably lose a Marner trade but I think they will have a couple of options including just signing him.
