<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HockeyScotty</b></div><div>Of playoff teams it seems that there are 3 in the market for starters and 2 for backups.
LA
Toronto
Edmonton (if they can free up space)
Boston (if they move Ullmark, I could see them getting a veteran 1B)
Winnipeg (if they don't re-sign Brossoit will need a B/U)
But there are also a few good UFA's to consider too: Brossoit, Nedeljkovic, Lankinen</div></div>
I feel Brossoit extends in WPG pretty much easiest job being behind Hellebyuck
Ned to me is going to LA where they get baited again
Lankinen meh whoever needs a backup
TOR to me is either gonna go get Talbot on a 1 year deal to see what they have in Woll and if he can stay healthy. Or they gonna trade for Saros

Yep but knowing this league's love for these kinds of Dman someones gonna do it

Would not surprise me if Zadorov gets 5m x 5 years heck Van's considering it lul

After seeing the report from Serevalli and Friedman on Zadorov
1. I told yah he was gonna ask for 5m + (wants 6m x 6 years)
and
2. While he's a big physical net front clearer is not worth that. Just extend Edmundson or pursue Dillon

So if I go by teams in general including playoff teams rn its
TOR
EDM
NJ
COL
LA
TOR is mainly due to the health of Woll the rest its due to inconsistencies with their goalies/not having a guy
Markstrom, Gibson, Saros, etc all about to become very enticing especially considering the goalie market this summer sucks

I just get this feeling no matter what happens tonight between EDM vs. Van
EDM next year is gonna trade for Ullmark due to Skinners playoff issues

Carolina has a bunch of good prospects and one could argue are a bit crowded.
I would either want picks for Necas to use in another deal to maybe bring in a blue liner
Or I would look to move Necas in a hockey trade. Kind of like what BUF and AVS did this TDL

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Messier99</b></div><div>Swayman just let in a goal for Boston (GWG with <2 min. left) that was probably just as bad if not worse than any Samsonov let in.
I don't think he will be traded for, but It likely cost him big bucks.
Anyways - every game in 6 the game series had Florida having more PP's than the Bruin. 28 PP's to 16 overall (that's average 2 PP's per game.
I am a bit surprised there is not more talk of the new Leafs coach. I suspect its fear of getting our hopes up.</div></div>
Doubtful as he had himself a season and stole the starting job from Ullmark. One bad goal dont take much away. If it did so many goalies wouldnt be getting paid lul
Guys getting paid or things gonna get very ugly
Already went to arb and took a discount
Expect Ullmark to be traded to EDM or something and for Swayman to get 6m x 6 years or something
And new coach is cool and all but not much to say rn as training camp aint for a long time lul. The focus is whats this team gonna look like by the time camp starts
As after watching FLA we got a lot of work to do especially in net.

Gonna be very interesting to see how Berube utilizes his better offensive weapons
As while STL had nice forwards non were on par with Willy or Matthews
As in all his time there nobody in STL hit 40 goals with Kyrou being the closest at 37
He's probs seeing Matthews pedigree and scoring and going thank you lord lul

New head coach options
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Trickster</b></div><div>I don't know man.
<strong>This roster will be alot more like the Blues roster after the cup then during the cup.
</strong>
Be afraid with your hopes, I'm see the glass half empty more than half full.
My expectations were a Stanley cup bu now that Berube is hired, I'm thinking way lower.
I</div></div>
Not really Blues did not have anyone on par with Matthews even when they won the cup
This is the greatest goal scorer of the modern era and while he has not unlocked it yet for playoffs Berube may be the guy to do it and when it happens look out league and imagine Willy whose also pretty good under his belt.
Like in STL did Berube have a 40, 50 or even 60 goal + goal scorer to work with no. In all his time there the most was Kyrou with 37 goals. Willy and Matthews have each gotten 40 goals with that being pretty much the min for Matthews.
Berube never had that kind of firepower to work with till now. Instead he had Pietrangelo on the blueline and a good forward core to work with not a great one
Now he's got better weapons offensively and once Brad works on the Dcore adding the missing pieces they set.
As the tradeoff is there. No Pietragelo sure but having better offensive weapon especially Matthews be a worth it trade

New head coach options
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Trickster</b></div><div>Yes he won cup and may have a different attitude however that roster had #1 D in Pietrangelo, this team does not and nothing close
How did Blues do after he left and even ROR??</div></div>
In STL towards the end many of the good players were underperforming, Binnington's attitude was becoming an issue along with his play, and Armstrong kept bringing in the wrong people to fill the team out. Look at what Blues fan said when he was fired. They believed it should have been Armstrong as he was the actual problem.
Berube will have Matthew and Nylander and if they aint moved Marner and JT to work with or in other words Berube will have better offensive weapons to work with here in TOR and once Brad revamps the Dcore will have a pretty good Dcore to also work with, get a proper starter and they are set. Team needs a proper work ethic as we saw it numerous times when momentum shifted they just failed to adapt or the big boyz didnt step it up. Getting called out more, benched, or having a tougher coach in general will help with that.
But basically sure he wont have a Pietrangelo to work with but the trade off is he has Auston Matthews

Called Berube coming for months since after STL fired him
He just fit the system Brad wants this team to play and him not being afraid to calling out the big players for underperformances is just what the doctor ordered.
Gonna be very interesting and so now we see where the other available HC end up

Disagree
Won a cup, has the perfect attitude to reign in these boyz and will call them out when they underperform, and his system should fit TOR very well as long as the boyz work hard

What about Kotka out of Carolina for 3C? It'd be a big bet again, but he's young and good defensively. Have him as a dump for a Marner trade (who ill remind you is only making 775k this year - so Dundin would approve).
Obv we'd be getting more back
Edit:
Actually looking at his contract, he has a super cheap buyout (long tho). Car might just buy him out. I'd give him a show me deal of they did</div></div>
Next to PLD would just wait for the buyout then trade for KK.
If I was to move Marner to Carolina would probs target
Necas + Nikishin as the main pieces coming back
