Description
Probably not very realistic but this is the kind of thing I would try to do.
- unfortunately, Marner has to move.
- need to find a way to bring in a 3C (at least) but ideally a 2C.
- Proven playoff player to play with Matthews
- If Domi really wants to stay he will take 3.2mil
- Utah needs more D men and has lots of second round picks - Liljegren would fit well there.
- Do anything you can to get Pecse
- Again, this assumes everyone involved will waive NMC

While I would not be mad at it and understand the value to STL, I'd personally pass unless that 2md helped us trade up high enough for Dickinson. Saad is a solid player who still skates like a beast.

I think STL deserves more. Perhaps a second-tier Leafs prospect could be included in the deal as well.

Marner doesn't waive and Calgary doesn't want him anyhow. Maybe if you remove Kadri and Conroy feels he can flip Marner at 50% retained for a 1st+. Replacing Kadri with Huberdeau would do it too except I doubt even Bungling Brad would trade for Huberdeau now.
