Is that the asking price for Rossi / Gus?

TBH - I don't think this deal is worth it for the habs who are looking for more quality than quantity.

At worst, if the two BPA are Dmen... they will draft them - They can always trade one of Gulhe, Mailloux, Reinbacher, Xhekaj, Hutson later on for a top 6 forward (aka like the Gauthier v. Drysdale trade).

MTL probably accepts. That lets us draft Sennecke most likely, and anyone else available at 13

Chesley, a defensive defender, had exactly as many points in the NCAA this year as Stramel, a forward.

Stramel was an obvious reach and bad pick at the time that had been coasting off of his reputation from when he was like 15 and has since done nothing but confirmed he was a terrible pick. Insanely easy pass for the Caps

Frankly, Montreal's dropping too far to consider that deal.

As much as the Canes would probably love to add Brodin, he would be the Canes 3LD if they were to acquire him. I would assume that the Canes would have interest in Kaprizov, Faber, or JEEk if they are moving Necas. That being said, the likelihood that the Wild move any of them is quite low. Really outside of that, not much to really interest the Canes into moving Necas.

10 and 13 for 5th and 25th isn't cutting it for montreal, they need a player closer to be NHL ready and usually they're only available at the top. They also need quality over quantity

Stramel is terrible, no chance Washington considered that close

I think the Montreal offer is close; but dropping at 10 is a bit risky for the Habs.
In the best case scenario, they could figure out a way to select Iginla at 10th (but Calgray will draft him...) and then Sennecke at 13th.

Deal (assuming Demidov and Lindstrom are off the board at 5)

Any 2 of these players would be worth 5+25 for the Habs if Celebrini, Demidov, and Lindstrom are gone:

Zeev Buium
Sam Dickinson
Artyom Levshunov
Berkly Catton
Tij Iginla
Cole Eiserman
Zayne Parekh
Beckett Sennecke
Carter Yakemchuk
Anton Silayev
Konsta Helenius

If I was the GM…I would listen (secretly) to offers for any player on the slow side of 30.

Brodin would be a great for NJD...I'd imagine its a longshot, but if Guerin thinks like Bassman, I hope Fitzgerald is on it (the two GMs are close, so maybe)

I’d pay a hefty price for Brodie as NJD. I’m of the opinion that he was the best dman on Minnesota this past year, not Faber

He’s been the Wild’s best defenseman for 10 years…Suter and Spurgeon included.

I think I’d have Spurgeon ahead at least from the last few years.

It’s a coin flip, but I prefer Brodin.

add a 2nd or 3rd from Minnesota and it's a deal for MTL
